Abstract

カムシャフト3の軸受け部を有するハウジング7、内側に複数の突起状のシュー5aを有し、シュー5a間で遅角油圧室10及び進角油圧室11を形成するケース5、遅角油圧室10及び進角油圧室11を塞ぐカバー6を締結ボルト8を用いてそれぞれ一体に固定しクランクシャフトと一体回転する第1回転体2と、遅角油圧室10及び進角油圧室11とに分ける複数のベーン9bを放射状に有するベーンロータ9を備え、第1回転体2内で所定角度だけ相対回動可能でカムシャフト3と一体固定される第2回転体4と、第1回転体2のシュー5aと第2回転体4のベーン9bの間に設けられ、第2回転体4を進角方向に付勢して相対位置を調整するアシストスプリング22とを備えたバルブタイミング調整装置1において、一端に開口部23a、他端に底部23bを有し、アシストスプリング22の一端を保持する円筒状のホルダ23と、第1回転体2のケース5は、シュー5aを貫通し、ケース5の最外周面に開口部25aを有する貫通孔25とを備え、貫通孔25内にアシストスプリング22及びホルダ23を配設する。
