Abstract
光源基板の裏面に光源基板同士を接続する接続部を設けた場合でも、発光素子からの熱をシャーシ底面に効果的に伝達することができ、内部に熱がこもらない構造のシャーシ、照明装置および表示装置を提供する。底面(4a)と、底面(4a)の周辺部から底面(4a)に略垂直な方向に延在する側壁(4b)とを有し、底面(4a)と側壁(4b)とによって形成される空間の内部に、一方の主面上に発光素子(9)が搭載されるとともに、一方の主面の裏面である他方の主面側に位置する接続部(12)で互いに接続された複数の光源基板(5)が配置されるシャーシ(4)であって、光源基板(5)の他方の主面のうち、発光素子(9)が搭載された位置の裏面に相当する部分が当接される熱伝導部(4d)と、光源基板(5)の接続部(12)の厚さと同等もしくはそれ以上の深さを有する第1の回避構造(4c)とを底面(4a)に有している。
