Abstract

 複数の点状光源が実装される実装基板に点状光源以外の電子部品も実装する場合に、バックライトユニットを大型化することなく、輝度ムラが発生するのを抑制することが可能なバックライトユニットを提供する。このバックライトユニット(10)は、導光板(3)の側面(3a)に沿って延びるLED実装領(6a)を少なくとも有するPWB(6)を備えている。そして、PWB(6)のLED実装領域(6a)の一方側の端部には、FPC実装領域(6b)が設けられているとともに、PWB(6)のLED実装領域(6a)の一方側とは反対の他方側の端部には、導光板(3)の側面(3a)に対して垂直な側面(3b)に沿って延びるコンデンサ実装領域(6c)が設けられている。
