Abstract

　複数の点状光源が実装される実装基板に点状光源以外の電子部品も実装する場合に、バックライトユニットを大型化することなく、輝度ムラが発生するのを抑制することが可能なバックライトユニットを提供する。このバックライトユニット（１０）は、導光板（３）の側面（３ａ）に沿って延びるＬＥＤ実装領（６ａ）を少なくとも有するＰＷＢ（６）を備えている。そして、ＰＷＢ（６）のＬＥＤ実装領域（６ａ）の一方側の端部には、ＦＰＣ実装領域（６ｂ）が設けられているとともに、ＰＷＢ（６）のＬＥＤ実装領域（６ａ）の一方側とは反対の他方側の端部には、導光板（３）の側面（３ａ）に対して垂直な側面（３ｂ）に沿って延びるコンデンサ実装領域（６ｃ）が設けられている。
