Abstract

エネルギーコストが小さく、工業的に効率のよいα－ヒドロキシ酸アンモニウム塩からアンモニアを回収し、遊離のα－ヒドロキシ酸を得る方法を提供するものである。 式（Ｉ）ＲＣＨ（ＯＨ）ＣＯＯ－ＮＨ４ ＋(式中、ＲはＣ１～Ｃ６アルキル基等を表す。）で表されるα－ヒドロキシ酸アンモニウム塩の水性溶媒溶液を、薄膜蒸発装置を用いて加熱し、さらに、水性溶媒溶液に対して空気または不活性ガスを向流させることにより、アンモニアを遊離させ、水性溶媒とともに蒸発させ、式（ＩＩ）ＲＣＨ（ＯＨ）ＣＯＯＨ(式中、Ｒは前記と同じ意味を表す。）で表されるα－ヒドロキシ酸を製造することができる。
