Abstract

【課題】受信装置(シンク機器)に接続される送信装置(ソース機器)の電源回路の簡素化を図る。 【解決手段】シンク機器120は十分な電源回路126を持つ。最初、ソース機器110からシンク機器120に電源を供給する。ソース機器110は、シンク機器120から電源の供給を受けたいとき、シンク機器120に、電源供給の要求情報を送信する。この送信は、ケーブル130のリザーブライン、電源供給ライン、CECライン、高速双方向通信手段等を用いて、行われる。シンク機器120は、電源供給の要求情報を受信するとき、電源回路126からの電源をソース機器110に供給する。ソース機器110からシンク機器120に送信する要求情報に、要求する電圧値、電流値の情報を含めることで、ソース機器110は、シンク機器120から、必要とする電圧値、電流値の電源の供給を受ける。
