Abstract

 表示パネルを構成する基板の一方に設けられた通気孔(8)に取り付けられたチップ管(1)を備え、通気孔を囲むように基板の一方とチップ管の端面とが密着する密着領域を有し、かつ密着領域を囲むように基板の一方とチップ管との間に配された封着部材(3)により基板とチップ管とが封着されるようにして、密着領域を設けることで溶融した封着部材がチップ管や表示パネルの内部に流れ込むことを防止し、チップ管を基板に対して垂直方向に押圧して封着することで工程におけるチップ管の傾きを抑制しチップ管と基板が良好に接着された表示パネルを提供できるようにする。
