Abstract

　本発明は、厚さの薄いワークに確実に取り付けることができるスペーサおよびスペーサ取り付け方法の提供を目的とするものであり、外周部分に凹凸２ａを形成した頭部２と、タッピンねじを螺入可能な中空穴３ａを形成した軸部３とを有し、頭部２をワーク６に圧入して取り付けられるスペーサであって、前記頭部２と軸部３との間にかしめ部４を設けたものである。頭部２からかしめ部４先端までの長さＬ０は、ワーク６の厚さｔ１に頭部２の圧入に伴うワーク６の変形分を加えた長さ以上に構成されている。このため、頭部２のワーク６への圧入に伴って、その圧入方向に変形するワーク６を巻き込んで確実にかしめることが可能になっている。
