Abstract

Herstellung von Polyisobutylbernsteinsäureanhydriden mit einem durchschnittlichen molaren Verhältnis von Bernsteinsäureanhydrid-Gruppen zu Polyisobutyl-Gruppen von 1,0 : 1 bis 1,3 : 1 durch thermische Umsetzung von hochreaktiven Polyisobutenen mit einem zahlenmittleren Molekulargewicht Mn von 350 bis 50.000 und mit einem Gehalt an terminalen Vinyliden-Doppelbindungen von mehr als 90 Mol-% mit Maleinsäure oder Maleinsäureanhydrid im Mol-Verhältnis von 1 : 3 bis 1 : 0,95. Die so erhaltenen Polyisobutylbernsteinsäureanhydride dienen zur Herstellung von als Additive in Kraft- und Schmierstoffzusammensetzungen geeigneten Polyisobutylbernsteinsäure-Derivaten, welche wenigstens eine primäre oder sekundäre Aminogruppe, eine Iminogruppe und/oder eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweisen.
