Abstract

 本発明の水酸化クロムは、粒度分布測定装置により測定された体積平均粒子径D50と、走査型電子顕微鏡像から測定された平均粒子径Dとの比D50/Dで表される凝集度が10以上70未満であり、平均粒子径Dが40~200nmであることを特徴とする。この水酸化クロムは、反応液温が0°C以上50°C未満の条件下で、無機アルカリ水溶液に三価のクロムを含む水溶液を添加することで好適に得られる。無機アルカリとしてアルカリ金属の水酸化物を用いることが好ましい。
