Abstract

【課題】軽量・コンパクト化を図ると共に、組立作業性を向上させて低コスト化を図った回転速度検出装置付き車輪用軸受装置を提供する。 【解決手段】センサホルダ１０が、回転速度センサ１４が包埋された合成樹脂製の保持部１２と、外方部材５の端部に外嵌される円筒状の嵌合部１１ａと、これから径方向内方に延び、外方部材５の端面に密着される鍔部１１ｂと、さらに径方向内方に延びる底部１１ｃとからなるカバー１１を備え、インナー側のシール９が、スリンガ１５と、これに対向して外方部材５に装着され、断面略Ｌ字状に形成された環状のシール板１７とからなり、このシール板１７の端面と磁気エンコーダ１６の端面が略面一に設定されると共に、外側継手部材２２の肩部２３の外径Ｄ１が内輪２の外径Ｄ２よりも小径に設定され、かつ外方部材５のインナー側の端面５ｃと内輪２の端面２ｂが略面一に設定されている。
