Abstract

The invention relates to a nutritional or food supplement for Peruvian Paso horses, containing about 21 % of alfafa flour, about 24 % of carob flour, about 7 % of kiwicha flour, about 1 % of maca flour, about 23 % of wheat bran, about 22.4 % of corn forage, about 0.6 % of calcium carbonate, and about 1 % of a vitamin premixture for horses. Each ingredient is ground, mixed, pelleted and packed.

1. Technical Field

The present invention relates to the obtaining of food specifically for horses with a high incidence in Peruvian Paso Horses since varying the proportions of the inputs can determine the specific results to be obtained in these animals:

1.1. Nutritional Supplement

1.2. Balanced meal

1.3. Food reinforced for fattening and high energy efficiency

2. Background

There are currently balanced feed for equines but all imported mostly from the United States and its components do not repower the needs of the Peruvian equine. The other products on the market and of greater acceptance are bulk barley, chala, corn fodder, soybean meal and dehydrated alfalfa. Unfortunately, these inputs are of unknown origin and do not improve the quality of these animals that, due to their breed, require a specific food.

Within the main objective is to prepare this food for horses, especially because what is intended is to achieve a specific food that repopulates the benefits of one of the "FLAG PRODUCTS" such as the PERUVIAN HORSE HORSE, with a food of high protein, vitamin value, etc. on the basis of unusual native products of the extensive Peruvian biodiversity.

It is intended with this food to repower the benefits of these beautiful animals that currently besides being a product called FLAG, are being exported to more than 8 countries worldwide, currently existing more than 19,000 copies registered only in the United States . Our company has the conviction that the Peruvian Paso Horse must be fed with a balanced feed, using inputs from its country of origin. The different inputs that make up the formula of this food were studied one by one, since each of them acts differently in the perfect development of the animal.

This food for the benefits of its ingredients can be used in any type of equine, be it racehorses, jump, polo and especially in step horses and exhibition. The tests carried out with several specimens remarkably demonstrated in a very short time remarkably demonstrated the difference between feeding a unique species in the world with any input available to design for them a balanced food that grants everything necessary to represent a race with inputs of Your own land.

In addition to notably repowering these specimens, the nutritional supplement and / or balanced feed designed for this species (or others), has a high incidence in the immunoJogical field protecting the animal not only from "colic" so commonly named by horse breeders but also protecting them from any type of intestinal parasite. It also helps the animal to have a lower incidence of injections and vaccines by protecting it from a large number of diseases.

It is remarkably visible for example the change in the physical appearance of the animal, fur, musculature, body brightness, jogging, posture, exercise performance, competition, etc.

For this we need the following:

• That because of the inputs used in the food being they from Peru, together they make up the best food for the flag product known as "Peruvian Paso Horse", • That due to the quality of the raw material, there is no balanced product for this species on the market and even less that they contribute to what these high Andean products represent as a contribution in their diet.

• That due to the quality of their process they provide the animal with properties that are not known in the equine food market.

• That the potency of the species not only in weight, bearing, appearance, immunology, energy, but also in improving its species.

• That its components are unique in the world and therefore not known in other international markets.

According to R1 and the percentages of inputs that make up the formula to be patented, it is important to highlight that these percentages were specified based on 500 kilos of raw material in total. That means that to produce 500 kilos of palletized food the following kilos of raw material were needed:

Alfalfa flour 105 kilos

Wheat Flour 115 kilos

Corn Fodder 112 kilos

Carob flour 120 kilos

Kiwicha flour 35 kilos

Maca flour 5 kilos

Vitamin Premix for Equine 5 kilos

Calcium Carbonate 3 kilos

The product has been obtained by mixing the necessary inputs to provide not only the Peruvian step horse but any competing horse the performance demanded by its species.

The inputs when complying with the quality control process that differentiates it from products sold separately for horse feed, are processed obtaining a suitable presentation for the animal, in perfectly palatable and digestible pellets that give the animal a notable difference of others that are fed with products without due follow-up of quality and also are not well digested by their organisms incurring breeders in the use of greater quantity of vitamins, minerals, vaccines and other chemicals while this product being absolutely natural provides them with everything necessary for their perfect performance, repowering their race.

Figure No. 1 clearly details the process with which the final product (pellet) containing all the inputs of the aforementioned formula is obtained.

3. Clear and Complete Description of the Invention

3.1 Step 1

We select the food supplies, acquiring them from the best suppliers in the country, these supplies being the ones that are detailed below:

• Carob flour

• Maca flour

• Kiwicha flour

• Alfalfa flour

• Wheat Flour

• Corn Fodder

• Premix for horses (contains mineral salts and vitamins)

• Calcium carbonate

Benefits provided by each of the inputs in the supplement and / or balanced feed in horses:

CAROB FLOUR:

In the composition of carob flour, the presence of between 40 and 50% sugars, mainly fructose, glucose and sucrose, stands out. It also has 5% protein and many minerals: iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, silicon, phosphorus and a lot of potassium, which together with its low sodium content helps to balance a diet rich in sodium. In addition, since it does not have gluten as with other flours, it is suitable for coeliacs. An important aspect of the composition of the carob bean is its qualitative richness in fibers (pectin and lignin fundamentally), which they benefit the intestinal flora, decreasing bacteria and increasing lactobacilli. In addition, the pectin, known as a thickener, has other properties: laxative, coagulant, bactericidal, cancer preventive, cholesterol lowering, helps the formation of cell membranes, removes heavy metals and toxic substances from the body and protects the intestinal mucosa. Its fibers have a triple effect: they convert the liquid into a colloidal gel, distend the intestinal walls and stimulate a correct peristalsis that eliminates painful contractions (colic).

MACA FLOUR:

It contains a high nutritional value and is rich in minerals such as calcium, phosphorus and iron; It also contains a high level of protein and carbohydrates, superior to the Korean Gin Seng recognized worldwide. Maca has the following attributes: Nourishes, invigorates, fertilizes and cures. It also has aphrodisiac and stimulant qualities, therapeutic properties in respiratory diseases due to its assimilation of essential amino acids. Its contribution to rheumatic and hypertension problems is very important. Due to its conservation in essential amino acids, it improves the problems derived from sterility, frigidity and sexual impotence. Its excellent results have been proven to reactivate the cellular metabolic process, as well as to achieve the recovery and revitalization of the organism and strengthens the capacity for psychic performance (oxidative stress).

KIWICHA FLOUR:

Kiwicha Flour confines organic raw material, does not contain gluten, has a high content of proteins, vitamins and minerals. Good balance at amino acid level, high lysine content, also contains essential fatty acids and dietary fiber. Being an organic product they provide a safe diet free of pesticides and residues of synthetic chemicals, it is highly palatable. It is a recommended food in aso of intolerance to wheat flour, oats, barley and rye. Promotes growth in foals. Keeps the body healthy, with better mood, appearance and weight for its high nutritional value. It helps the development of brain cells, achieving in the animal a greater concentration during training, competition or race period if this is the case. Easy to digest, helping the animal's body maintain its weight, reduces blood cholesterol levels.

ALFALFA FLOUR:

Alfalfa Flour is so rich in calcium that the ashes of its leaves are almost 99% pure calcium. It is also a good source of vitamins and minerals. It is usually considered as a medicinal food. In addition to its recognized nutritional value, alfalfa has a medicinal value. From the beginning of the 20th century, scientific studies began on the properties of alfalfa. The first animal studies corroborated the great Alfalfa food power. Soon it began to be used as a reinforcer of human food and as medicine. In addition, alfalfa is also being used to combat excess cholesterol in the blood. The sterols and saponins present in it reduce the intestinal absorption of coJestero, thereby reducing total cholesterol and triglycerides. Its strong incidence in the equine is the strengthening of its muscle mass. Alfalfa is a good source of vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamin A, B ₁ , B ₆ , B12, C, E, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin, vitamin Ki, amino acids, carotenes, chlorophyll and most trace minerals. Alfalfa has also been traditionally used against asthma and other respiratory diseases, as a moderate diuretic and to reduce swelling. Alfalfa has been determined to inhibit the development of certain viruses, including the Herpes simpiex virus.

WHEAT HARINLLLA

This byproduct is valued for its high fiber and protein content. It provides the animal with a better assimilation of the regular diet administered within its daily ration, combined with the other inputs, prevents the equine from having colic inside which represents a high risk in any equine species. Wheat hariniila is obtained from suppliers dedicated to the commercialization of these types of flours, for this we have trusted people from whom we know the origin of said input. It also contains 18% crude protein and 37% FND (on MS) that represents the source of digestible fiber. When combined with other inputs such as corn fodder, the combination of both fibrous sources meant a 12% increase in digestibility. On the other hand, the contribution of food protein to the duodenum and the concentration of isoacids decreased in those diets supplemented with wheat hariniyl.

CORN FORAGE

Useful parameters of corn fodder are: raw proteins, fiber content, total digestible dry matter, total digestible nutrients and a low lignin content. In addition to increasing the yield of metabolizable energy in the animal. It provides energy that a) being processed in the large intestine produces a permanent performance especially in those animals that require training and significant energy wear. The vegetable proteins that they contain along with the adequate amount of fat provide an energy source that is absolutely assimilable to the animal during its entire growth and development stage. VITAMIN PREMIX

The vitamin and mineral premix is reinforced with Vitamin E and Selenlo for rapid muscle recovery after strong exercise. It is special for adult equines in constant training and competition, and guarantees more reserves for strong exercise. It provides the animal with all the mineral salts that its body requires for its proper development. To be used in the elaboration of concentrated foods of horses, mules and donkeys to guarantee the contribution of the essential micronutrients to keep animals healthy, vigorous and with an optimal reproductive function.

CALCIUM CARBONATE

It serves as a calcium regulator and is widely used in the breeding of horses and cattle in general. Strengthens the entire bone structure of the equine, prevents injuries to bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, etc. It helps increase performance and together with a balanced diet it is important for the weight gain of any animal especially those that are exposed to physical demand.

Note: All inserts are commercially available. No auxiliary substances are used for pelletization since this is done in special machinery under pressure. (Pellet size 8mm diam.)

3.2 Step 2

Once the inputs for the nutritional supplement and / or balanced food are chosen, they are weighed, ground, mixed for total incorporation and finally pelletized. It is understood by pelletizing process the production of pellets, through the mixing of the inputs, within a machine specially designed to form particles of the compacted food under pressure generating what is known in the market as pellet (size 8mm for horses). The pellets have a suitable diameter for 8mm horses. This size allows the horse to replace the food it currently receives, the same that in addition to being of very poor quality and not having any type of quality control, is provided to the animal in powder. The pellets also do not attract flies or other insects that disturb the animal at the time of its intake. The food is highly palatable and the proportion of the inputs is properly distributed in each of the pellets.

3.3 Step 3

After completing the food pelletization process, it is packaged following the quality standards that allow the best preservation of it. Therefore, having absolutely natural supplies and having adequate quality control in its packaging, the product is isolated from moisture and dust from the environment, protecting it from mold or any bacteriological type of infection.

The container for local distribution is in laminated bags of 25 kilos, with ziploc closure, which allows to close the container tightly after being opened. It also allows the person responsible for feeding the animal a good handling of the animal and control in this way the adequate proportion that supplies each of the animals that it feeds, knowing the importance of giving the horse the appropriate proportion that according to the performance that it requires should to receive.

If the product is exported, said laminated and sealed bag will be sent either in laminated corrugated cardboard boxes or in extra thick cardboard barrels with metal seal and in this way maximize space both on pallets if the shipment was made by air or in containers if it were the case of sea shipments. 4.
