Abstract

　この発明は、製造工程を削減することができるプラズマディスプレイパネルに関する。 この発明のプラズマディスプレイパネル（１０）は、放電空間（ＤＳ）を介して向かい合う第１基板（ＦＳ）及び第２基板（ＲＳ）を有する。第１基板には、第１方向（Ｄ１）に延びる第１バス電極（Ｘｂ）及び第２バス電極（Ｙｂ）が設けられる。第２基板には、第１方向と直交する第２方向（Ｄ２）に延びる隔壁（ＢＲ１）が設けられる。第１バス電極には第１表示電極（Ｘｔ）が、第２バス電極には第２表示電極（Ｙｔ）が、それぞれ接続され、いずれも第２方向に延びている。第１基板には、さらに、第１及び第２バス電極並びに第１及び第２表示電極を覆う誘電体層（ＤＬ）が設けられ、誘電体層の上には、隔壁に対向する位置にアドレス電極（ＡＥ）が設けられる。保護層（ＰＬ）は、誘電体層及びアドレス電極を直接覆うように形成され、放電空間に露出している。
