Abstract

　画像データ上の画素ごとに、画素値の縦方向勾配量（Ｓｙ）及び横方向勾配量（Ｓｘ）を算出する画素値縦勾配量算出部（３ａ）・画素値横勾配量算出部（３ｂ）と、縦方向勾配量（Ｓｙ）及び横方向勾配量（Ｓｘ）から、画素ごとの勾配方向と無方向とのいずれかを特定する勾配方向・無方向特定部（５）と、照合領域に含まれる勾配方向と、モデルパターンに含まれる勾配方向とが一致する画素数、及び照合領域に含まれる画素ごとの勾配方向とモデルパターンに含まれる画素ごとの勾配方向との一致パターンと、比較用一致パターンとが類似する度合いを示すパターン合致度から、合致度を算出するスコア算出部（１０）と、合致度が最大となる注目画素の位置から撮像対象による撮像画像上の指示位置を特定する位置特定部（１１）とを備える。
