Abstract

 本発明は、光学設計が容易であり、簡便な方法により目的の光学素子が得られる、紫外線吸収能を有する屈折率分布型光学素子の製造方法を提供する。  本発明は、具体的には、アルカリ金属成分と紫外線吸収成分とをガラス構成成分として含むガラス基材に、リチウム化合物、カリウム化合物、ルビジウム化合物、セシウム化合物、銀化合物、銅化合物及びタリウム化合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種、有機樹脂並びに有機溶剤を含有するペーストを塗布し、前記ガラス基材の軟化温度より低い温度で熱処理することを特徴とする紫外線吸収能を有する屈折率分布型光学素子の製造方法を提供する。
