Abstract

 軸受に簡単かつコンパクトに搭載できて、軸受内部の潤滑剤劣化状態を安定的にかつ精度良く検出できる潤滑剤劣化検出装置を提供する。この潤滑剤劣化検出装置は、円弧状の光ファイバ4の両端にそれぞれ発光素子および受光素子を対向して設け、この円弧状の光ファイバ4の一部に潤滑剤5を介在させる測定用ギャップ部7を設ける。この測定用ギャップ部7の近傍に、潤滑剤による潤滑状態の変化によって変形量が変化する変形可能な抵抗体15を設けることで、測定用ギャップ部7の潤滑剤5を流動させる。
