External casing
DESCRIPTION
The object of the present finding is an external casing, intended mainly for home building products, within it comprising a certain number of manufactured products: an insulated bearing structure, a screen, a grating, a mosquito net, a window or glazed opening and a filtering-shade curtain. A characteristic of the finding is that the whole of such manufactured products continues to be mounted in the conventional perimeter walls of 30 cm thickness.
In the state of the art different embodiments of similar products are known, which integrate other functions or manufactured products inside them. Such manufactured products are widely used in construction. For example, European patent application No. EP 0132779 concerns a casing and is characterised by the presence of numerous prefabricated accessories and in that the casing is made together with these accessories. American patent application No. 0142596, on the other hand, concerns a window with a plurality of layers one of which is blind. The blind window consists of a mesh of bars and is arranged inside two panes. Finally, European patent application No. EP 0142596 concerns a heat insulating window consisting of an external casing, an internal casing, an air chamber and an auxiliary chamber divided by a dividing wall. In the auxiliary chamber there are rollers for curtains. Below the air chamber in another auxiliary chamber there is an air conditioning unit. As can be seen, there are numerous embodiments of "multi component" casings. All known solutions, however, have the drawback of not being able to be incorporated in the conventional masonry structure with the consequent disadvantage of being bulky taking away useful space from the home. The purpose of the finding object of the present patent is to provide a manufactured product that, in a single unit, performs and combines various functions, up to now carried out by distinct manufactured products, but that at the same time is contained in the bulk of the conventional masonry. This brings numerous advantages for different professionals operating in the field of construction and, not least of all, for the user that lives in the manufactured product in question.
The construction firm gains an advantage from using this particular external casing for a series of both technical and economic reasons. Indeed, although it integrates various manufactured products, it continues to be assembled in perimeter or external walls of standard size, i.e. of 30 cm, and it consists of single manufactured products, also of standard type and size, currently used in conventional construction. The assembly of the single components, generally available as stock products, can be carried out on site without the need for specialised workers. The moving on site of the manufactured product, made up of a kit to be assembled, is simpler than moving the individual manufactured products; therefore, the transportation, unloading and lifting up through cranes are faster and, consequently, more cost-effective. The laying times are also reduced since the conventional manufactured products to be built into masonry, such as counter frames and rolling shutter boxes, are integrated into the structure of the casing and are installed at the same time as he external masonry is made. The casing, with its external structure formed from the non-conducting box, at the same time constitutes an alignment template in the construction of the masonry and a precise limit reference for the finishing work of the manufactured product, such as the external and internal plastering and the bricks on the visible face. The external structure of the casing is set up for the application of sheaths turned onto the walls of the manufactured product and, consequently, is well-suited to constitute an intrinsic barrier to the infiltration of water into the walls, between the floor panels, between the coatings and the casing itself, allowing the elimination of the conventional marble sills and of the concrete plenums.
For the user that purchases and uses the manufactured product or for the designer of the home interior, in addition to the usual possibility of enjoying the sight of the outside and of having optimal lighting of the indoors, there is the advantage of having multiple functions performed in a single products, all of these functions being equally necessary for everyday life: protection against break-ins or theft thanks to the presence of the grating, protection against insects thanks to the presence of the mosquito net, comfort for heat and sound insulation thanks to the presence of the window made according to market standards, the possibility of creating shade in the interior thanks to the presence of the filtering-shade curtain. Last but not least, there is the advantage of being able to have internal spaces adjacent to the windows where it is possible to arrange furnishings, since, as all of the manufactured products of the casing slide in the box or in any case are contained in it, there are no swing doors, typical of conventional windows and gratings. The finding object of the present invention achieves all of the aforementioned advantages since it concerns an external casing that is mounted in line with the conventional external perimeter masonry, with minimum thickness equal to 30 cm in rough condition, and that has been designed with the intention of containing the following manufactured products: • an insulated bearing structure or non-conducting box (1), which contains all of the components constituting the casing;
• an external screen (10) of the rolling shutter type;
• an anti -intruder grating or gate (11);
• a mosquito net (12) for protecting against the entry of insects; • a window or glazed opening (13) of the standard type found on the market for heat and sound insulation;
• a filtering-shade curtain (14) to change the indoor light level. As already stated, the entire packet is contained within the masonry, without internal swing doors (windows) or external swing doors (gratings) that would reduce the useful surfaces available to the user.
The external perimeter wall into which the casing object of the present invention is built has a minimum thickness of 30 cm, divided into an external commercial brick layer (18) with a minimum thickness of 6 cm, a non-conducting box (1), which contains all of the components constituting the casing/ with a thickness of 18 cm and an interior commercial brick layer (18) with a minimum thickness of 6 cm. The characteristics of the external casing, according to the present invention shall become clearer from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment thereof, shown as a non-limiting example, with reference to the drawings, in which: • Fig. 1 represents the assembly diagram of the non-conducting box according to the view a) that is unexploded to allow the finding to be viewed as a whole from the front and view b) that is exploded, useful for identifying the different components, such as the non-conducting box (1), the single upright (5) that defines the passage or port of the casing, the top guide track (3) that defines the height of the passage space and to which a self-propelled profile of the top guide track (9) is connected, a sill in metallic profile (2) that defines the structure in the bottom part to which a self-propelled bottom or sill profile (8) is connected, a bottom U-bolt (7) to which the sill (2) is fixedly connected and a top U-bolt (6) to which the non-conducting rolling shutter box (4) containing the external screen (10), positioned on the upright (5) is fixedly connected, another two stands on the non-conducting box, a top one (6) for the fixed connection of the rolling shutter box to the self-propelled profile of the top guide track (9) and a bottom one (7) for the fixed connection of the sill profile (2) to its self-propelled profile (8);
• Fig. 2 represents the external front view of the casing with wings semi -closed (Fig. 2.a), in which the different manufactured products contained inside the non-conducting box (1) and their order of assembly going from the outside towards the inside can be seen, and the external front view of the casing with wings completely closed (Fig. 2.b) and external screen (iθ) completely wound in the rolling shutter box (4), in which the grating (11) is essentially visible. In both views, the design sections that shall be the object of the subsequent figures are highlighted;
• Ia Fig. 3 represents two cross sections of the external casing, C-C carried out perpendicular to the passage space of the casing and D-D carried out parallel to it inside the nonconducting box incorporated in the external perimeter wall. In particular, in the top part of the section C-C it is possible to see the non-conducting rolling shutter box (4) inside of which the roller is position on which the external screen (10) winds and unwinds. Going from the outside to the inside of the space occupied by the casing, i.e. from left to right of the section, we find the manufactured products mounted and supported at the top by the guide track (3) and at the bottom by the sill in metallic profile (2), or rather, the external screen (10), the gate or grating (1 1), the framed mosquito net (12), the window or glazed opening (13) and the filtering-shade curtain (14). In this section it is also possible to see the external aluminium intrados (15) that constitute the external finishing of the casing. With reference to the aforementioned figures, the external casing, according to the present invention, in a preferred but not limiting solution thereof, comprises a non-conducting box (1), a non-conducting rolling shutter box (4), a single upright (5), an external screen, for example a rolling blind (10), a grated gate (11), a mosquito net (12), a window wing or glazed opening (13), a filtering and/or shade curtain (14). The non-conducting box (1), formed from two insulating walls, spaced apart by 14 cm, each consisting of a fretted galvanized sheet iron, supported by insulating material of 20 mm thickness (see Fig. 3, section D-D). In total, therefore, the non-conducting box (1) occupies a space of 18 cm. The attachment at the top of the box (1) to the soffit of the floor shall be carried out by means of telescopic U-bolts. Said self-supporting walls, as can be seen in Fig. Lb, are connected together in the bottom part by a sill in metallic profile (2) and in the top part by a guide track (3) that defines the passage space of the casing. The sill in metallic profile (2), shown in Fig. 1 , has the function of stiffening at the base of the box (1), of sealing and running off the possible water collected here, of positioning at the right level the finished floor both internal and external, facilitated by suitable regulators combined with accessories for attaching and anchoring to the rough floor of the storey. Said sill, at one end, has a U-bolt (7) for the connection of the "self-propelled" sill profile (8), in the passage space area. The top guide track (3), shown in Fig. 1, in metallic profile, having the function of stiffening the top at the height of definition of the height of the passage space, as well as of connecting the "self-propelled" profile (9) of the top guide track in the passage space area. The non-conducting rolling shutter box (4), shown in Fig. 1, contains the winding of the external screen (10) on a roller and that is also formed from two insulating walls and has a minimum total thickness of 30 cm. Through the end closures (caps), the rolling shutter box shall be fixedly connected, on one side, to the extreme U-bolt (6) of the top guide track and on the other side to the top U-bolt (6) of the upright (5), opposite the non-conducting box (1). The single upright (5), opposite the non-conducting box (1), for defining the passage space is made with metallic profile, suitably shaped, a minimum of 30 cm deep and equipped at the ends with the top stand (6) and with the bottom stand (7). The top U-bolt (6), as has been seen, is used for connection to the non-conducting rolling shutter box (4) and to the self-propelled profile (9) of the top guide track, whereas the bottom U-bolt (7) is used for the fixed connection of the self-propelled sill profile (8) of the passage space. The latter is positioned at the height of the floor and is complete with suitable regulators. The external screen (10) in most cases consists of a commercial shutter (made from pvc, wood or metal) able to wind on a roller and slide vertically in guides arranged laterally, on the outer shoulders of the passage space, actuated with a manual or motorised control. The gate or grating (11), made on a frame with a minimum thickness of 40 mm, is guided at the top by the self-propelled profile (9) of the top guide track and able to slide laterally so that it is hidden away in the non-conducting box (1). The framed mosquito net (12), made on a frame with a minimum thickness of 25 mm, is guided at the top by the self-propelled profile (9) of the top guide track and is able to slide laterally so that it is hidden away in the non-conducting box (1). The glazed opening or window wing (13), made with a frame having a minimum thickness of 40 mm, complete with the transparent or opaque plugging, is also guided at the top by the self-propelled profile (9) of the top guide track and is able to slide laterally so that it is hidden away, in the non-conducting box (1). The filtering-shade curtain (14) consists of a fabric able to slide vertically in guides arranged laterally on the inner shoulders of the passage space and is able to be wound on a roller in its own rolling shutter box, with manual or motorised control. The casing can also be equipped with optional finishing (see Fig. 7-9). For example, aluminium intrados (15), consisting of profiles arranged perimetrically to the passage space, with internal and/or external finishing function, wooden intrados (16), consisting of profiles arranged perimetrically to the passage space, for use as internal finishing, stone intrados (17), consisting of profiles arranged perimetrically to the passage space, for use as external finishing.
As already stated, the non-conducting box (1) is contained inside a standard perimeter masonry wall, with minimum thickness of 30 cm, divided into an external commercial brick layer (18) with a minimum thickness of 6 cm, a non-conducting box (1), which contains all of the components constituting the casing, with a thickness of 18 cm and an internal commercial brick layer (18) with a minimum thickness of 6 cm. It should be emphasised that inside the non-conducting box (1), in the available space with a thickness of 14 cm, the gate or grating (11), the mosquito net (12) and the window wing (13) slide, whereas the external screen (10) and the filtering-shade curtain (14) are wound on the relative roller. This allows the casing to not have internal swing doors (windows) or external swing doors (gratings) that would reduce the useful space available to the user
