Abstract

An elevator control system for controlling drive of hoists for vertically moving a common elevator car, wherein hoist control devices and an operation management device are arranged separated from each other. Each hoist control device individually controls drive of each hoist. The operation control device outputs a control command for each hoist control device. Communications between the operation control device and each hoist control device are performed by a serial transmission by transmission means. The operation control device and each hoist control device have abnormality stop circuits independent of the transmission means. Each abnormality stop circuit simultaneously stops supply of electric power to each hoist when at least one of the operation control device and the hoist control devices detects an abnormality of the elevator.
