Abstract

 光源と光ファイババンドルとの結合効率を向上する。  光ファイババンドル11は、複数本の光ファイバ2を束ねた密集束で構成され、この複数本束ねられた光ファイバ2の先端部を溶融一体化して形成した一体化部12を備え、一体化部12の側面12bが、光ファイババンドル11の中心軸に沿う縦断面において、一体化部12の先端面側の端点と後端側の端点とを結ぶ直線よりも径方向外側に凸となる弧状となり、かつ光ファイババンドル11の一体化部12以外の部分の輪郭をなす線の一体化部12側への延長線よりも径方向内側になるように形成されている。
