Abstract

 本発明のヨウ素化剤の製造方法は、酸を支持電解質として、溶液中でヨウ素分子を電気分解することを特徴とする。これにより、ヨウ素化反応終了後に高度な分離操作を必要とすることのないヨウ素化剤として好適に用いられるヨウ素カチオンを製造し得るヨウ素化剤の製造方法およびこの製造方法に用いる電解液を実現する。また、本発明にかかる芳香族ヨウ素化合物の製造方法は、特定のエーテル化合物の存在下で、ヨウ素化剤と、1つ以上の置換基および2つ以上の水素原子を核に有する芳香族化合物と、を反応させる工程を含むことを特徴とする。これにより、芳香族化合物のヨウ素化反応において、位置選択性が向上した芳香族ヨウ素化合物の製造方法を実現する。
