Abstract

 複数のデータ線A1~Amと複数の走査線K1~Knとの各交点位置に発光素子E11~Emnによる画素がマトリクス状に接続された表示パネル1と、前記各走査線に接続されて選択的に前記各走査線の走査を実行する走査ドライバ3と、前記各画素に表示信号を供給するデータドライバ2とにより表示装置が構成される。  前記走査ドライバ3による走査に同期して、前記各発光素子に蓄積された電荷を放電させるリセット期間が設定される。このリセット期間においては、前記走査線のうち、少なくとも2つの走査線に接続された発光素子の前記リセット期間における放電開始タイミングおよび/または放電終了タイミングが異なるように制御される。この結果、各発光素子の寄生容量に充放電される電荷の充放電のタイミングが分散され、この時に生ずる放射ノイズのレベルを低減させることができる。
