Abstract

A PCV valve (97) and an oil trap (98) that recovers oil that can not be removed by an oil separator (92), which separates and removes oil mist in blow-by gas, are arranged on the downstream side of the oil separator (92). A blow-by gas flow path leading from the oil separator (92) to the oil trap (98) is positioned inside a cam chamber (3A) of an engine (10). The above construction suppresses occurrence of condensation water in the flow path and prevents presence, in the entire region from a PCV device (9) to the intake system of the engine (10), of a region where conditions (NOx, oil, acid water) producing sludge are complete. Also, the amount of introduction of oil into the intake system is significantly reduced to avoid occurrence of intake deposit.
