Abstract
A flowcell capable of forming a sample stream which ensures a low probability of detection of multiple particles in the state of being superposed on each other and permits obtaining of configurational information on particles in the state of being held in a specified posture; and a particle configuration analyzer equipped with the flowcell. There is disclosed a flowcell (1) provided with a flow channel (325) for flow of a sample stream having a sample liquid containing particles wrapped in a carrier liquid, the flowcell including a restriction part (321) provided so as to narrow down the flow channel (325) and a transmission part (322) for transmission of light. The restriction part (321) is provided so that the sectional area of the flow channel (325) is continuously reduced and that the sample stream flowing through the flow channel (325) is in the form of steady planar elongational flowage. The transmission part (322) is disposed within the restriction part (321).
