Abstract

It is an object to provide a polymer parallel optical waveguide that has a plurality of cores, a clad provided around a circumference of the cores, wherein the refraction index of the core is gradually lowered from the geometric center of gravity in cross section of the core to its circumference. The polymer parallel optical waveguide has a plurality of cores, which are configured in high density. Further, the polymer parallel optical waveguide is small in transmission loss, expansion of a pulse signal, and crosstalk, so that it can be used as an optical interconnection in computing in the feature that requires high speed processing.
