Abstract

 表示装置は、少なくとも一方が透明又は半透明である一対の第1電極及び第2電極と、前記第1電極と前記第2電極との間に挟まれて設けられている発光層と、前記第1電極又は前記第2電極と、前記発光層との間に挟まれて設けられた少なくとも一つの緩衝層とを備え、前記発光層は、所定範囲を選択的に発光可能な複数の画素領域と、前記画素領域の少なくとも一部を区切る非画素領域とを有し、前記緩衝層を設けたことによって、前記緩衝層を挟持する前記電極と前記発光層との間の電位障壁の大きさが、前記電極と前記発光層とを直接接触させた場合のショットキー障壁の大きさより小さくなる。
