Abstract

 本発明は、復号化装置の変更なしに高速再生、高速逆再生等の特殊再生を実現する動画像再生方法および装置を提供することを目的とする。動画像を符号化したビットストリームからフレーム内符号化されたピクチャを先頭に含む所定数の連続するピクチャのビットストリームを抜き出すストリーム抜き出し部201と、前記抜き出されたビットストリームを解析し、復号すれば前記フレーム内符号化されたピクチャを含む1画面の復号画像が得られるか否かを判定するストリーム解析部202と、前記ストリーム解析部で1画面の復号画像が得られないと判定した場合に前記ストリーム解析部での解析結果に基づき1画面のうち復号画像が得られない領域の画像を補完するビットストリームを生成するストリーム生成部204とを備える。
