Abstract

　反射膜どうしのオプティカルコンタクトを回避しつつ、反射膜どうしを十分に近接させて所望の分光特性を得る。間隔をあけて対向する一対の光学基板（２，３）と、該光学基板（２，３）の対向面にそれぞれ配置され、互いに対向する２つの反射膜（５）と、該反射膜（５）が配置された側にそれぞれ配置され、当該光学基板（２，３）の間隔を検出する間隔センサを構成する互いに対向する２つのセンサ電極（６）と、前記光学基板（２，３）を相対的に移動させ、当該光学基板（２，３）間の間隔を変化させるアクチュエータ（４）とを有し、前記２つの反射膜（５）の対向する表面間の距離が前記２つのセンサ電極（６）の対向する表面の間の距離より大きい可変分光素子（１）を提供する。
