Abstract

　本発明は、限られた全長の積層型圧電素子においては従来より多くの積層数の活性層を設けることができて充分な変位特性が得られ、また、活性層が従来と同程度の積層数で済む場合にはより小型化が可能な積層型圧電素子を提供する。この積層型圧電素子は、複数の圧電材料が積層された活性層と、該活性層の層間に位置する内部電極と、を有する積層型圧電素子において、前記活性層と前記内部電極とを被覆する非活性層を少なくとも一方の端面に設けずに構成したことを特徴とする。
