Abstract

　バックライト装置は、面光源と、面光源上に敷設された光学部材１５とを備える。光学部材１５は、拡散シート３１と、レンチキュラレンズシート３２とを備える。拡散シート３１は、面光源と対向する第１の平面と、第１の平面と反対側であって複数の凸部が形成されたレンズ面とを有する。レンチキュラレンズシート３２は、拡散シート３１上に敷設される。レンチキュラレンズシート３２は、拡散シート３１と対向する第２の平面と、第２の平面と反対側であって、互いに並設された複数のシリンドリカルレンズが形成されたシリンドリカルレンズ面とを有する。そのため、バックライト装置は、高い正面輝度を有し、かつ、幅の広い輝度角度分布を有する。
