Abstract

 画質を向上させる。上記目的を達成する為に、発光素子(OLED)を各々有し且つ第1方向及び第1方向とは異なる第2方向各々に沿って面状に配置される複数の画素回路と、複数の画素回路に対して第1方向に沿って複数の画素回路が配置されて構成された画素回路の列毎に各々共通に接続された複数の電源線(L1)とを備えた画像表示装置(200,200a)を駆動する画像表示装置の駆動方法であって、次のステップ(a)~(c)を備えている。(a)複数の電源線に含まれる1つの電源線の配線抵抗と、1つの電源線に共通に接続され且つ第1方向に沿って配置された複数の画素回路に供給される第1画像データとに基づき、1つの電源線に生じ得る電圧降下を導出する。(b)ステップ(a)で導出された電圧降下に基づき第1画像データを補正することにより第2画像データを導出する。(c)ステップ(b)で導出された第2画像データに基づき発光素子を発光させる発光工程。
