Abstract
【課題】広ダイナミックレンジの合成画像を手軽に得るための技術および画像処理に関する自由度を維持しつつ、利用者の作業負担を軽減するための技術を提供する。
【解決手段】露出条件を変えながら同一被写体を撮影して得られる低解像度画像と高解像度画像とを取り込む画像入力部と、低解像度画像と高解像度画像との間で絵柄の位置ズレを検出するズレ検出部と、位置ズレに基づいて低解像度画像と高解像度画像との間の位置合わせをし、低解像度画像の階調情報を抽出して高解像度画像に合成することにより、階調再現域を拡大した合成画像を生成する階調拡大部とを備える。また、撮影で得られた画像データについての画像処理を行う際の補助情報として1つ以上の別の画像データを付加するか否かを判断する判断手段と、補助情報を付加する旨の判断結果に応じて、画像処理対象の主画像データと補助情報とを一つの画像ファイルにまとめて記憶媒体に記録する記録手段とを備える。
