Abstract

The object of the invention is a smoking fireplace insert used for food smoking purposes, constituting an accessory of fireplaces used for room heating. The fireplace insert comprises a shape of smoking chamber (V) located in the fireplace emissions exhaust area between the fireplace insert (5) and the elbow pipe (6), the smoking chamber (1) is provided with an emissions inlet (8) and outlet (10) as well as the door (14) located on at least one of the side walls (13) of the fireplace insert.

Description

FIREPLACE INSERT USED FOR FOOD SMOKING PURPOSES
The object of the invention is a smoking fireplace insert, constituting an accessory of fireplaces used for room heating.
The currently known fireplaces, used in room heating, are provided with either open furnace or closed furnace, and fireplace structures provided with smoking inserts are not known.
Due to utility values predominantly associated with the eliminating of emissions of combustion gas out onto heated room areas and with higher thermal efficiency, it is fireplace inserts provided with closed type furnaces that are currently is use for the heating of homes. These inserts are located internally, inside of the rooms that they are to heat, whereas the exhausting of emissions to the outside of rooms is realized through the installation of an extra exhaust pipe that is subsequently connected with chimney smoke pipe. Exhaust pipes of these fireplace inserts are made from materials that guarantee good thermal conductivity, most frequently, from cast iron, and they are predominantly used for the exhausting of emissions to the outside, where these emissions are characterized by high temperature, due to which, such heated up exhaust pipes are also used for additional heating of rooms through convectional method, however, a significant portion of heat energy is not being used up and is irrecoverably squandered. The smoking fireplace insert is characterised by that it has a shape of smoking chamber located in the fireplace emissions exhaust area, this chamber being situated between the fireplace insert and the elbow pipe, where the smoking chamber is provided with the emissions inlet and outlet, as well as the door located on at least one of the side walls. The smoking chamber is provided in its bottom and top part with the caps in the shape of truncated cones used for their separable connecting with the exhaust pipe and with the door that is provided with a temperature indicator.
An advantage of the solution according to the invention is in making additional use of fireplace installation for food smoking purposes, which results in the increasing of the heat capacity of the installation and in fuller and more efficient utilization of heat energy amassed in the emissions.
The object of the invention has been graphically presented as an example embodiment - Fig. 1 offers a schematic depiction of the working of the smoking fireplace insert, and Fig. 2 displays the fixing of the smoking fireplace insert on the exhaust pipe.
As the diagram shows, the smoking fireplace insert has a shape of smoking chamber 1 internally provided with the lifting slings 2 and with the grill 3 for meat. The smoking chamber Λ_ is located in the emissions exhaust area, where fumes are carried away through the exhaust pipe 4 and it is situated between the fireplace insert 5 and the elbow pipe 6. The smoking chamber 1 is provided from the bottom side 7 with the emissions inlet 8 and from the top side of the wall 9 with the emissions outlet 10. The emissions inlet 8 and the outlet 10 constitute the caps ΛΛ_ and Λ2 in the shape of truncated cones, which are used for separable connecting of the smoking chamber 1 with the exhaust pipe 4. The control of temperature inside of the smoking chamber 1 is performed by the temperature indicator 13 preferably located on the door ΛA or on one of the side walls 1j>.
The operation of the smoking fireplace insert does not depart at all from the operating of a traditional fireplace insert, however, in instances of using the smoking chamber 1 for the smoking of food inside of it, once the door 14 is opened up, meat is placed on the lifting slings 2 or on the grill 3 and after closing of the door 14, the temperature inside is controlled by means of the temperature indicator 13, so that the process of smoking may proceed correctly.

1. The smoking fireplace insert, characteristic of that it has a shape of smoking chamber (1) located in the fireplace emissions exhaust area, this chamber being situated between the fireplace insert (5) and the elbow pipe (6), where the smoking chamber (1) is provided with the emissions inlet (8) and outlet (10) as well as the door (14) located on at least one of the side walls (13).
2. The smoking fireplace insert as per Claim 1 , characteristic of that the smoking chamber (1) is provided in its bottom and top part with the caps (11) and (12) in the shape of truncated cones used for their separable connecting with the exhaust pipe (4).
