Abstract

本発明は、柱状スペーサを形成する場合において、輝度をより向上させることができる液晶表示装置を提供する。本発明は、一対の基板と、上記一対の基板間に挟持された液晶層とを有し、かつ赤、緑及び青の絵素を含む液晶表示装置であって、上記液晶表示装置は、赤、緑及び青の３つの絵素のうち赤の絵素に柱状スペーサ構造物が形成されており、かつ緑及び青のいずれの絵素の開口率よりも赤の絵素の開口率が小さい液晶表示装置である。
