容器用キャップ
技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、ガスバリヤ一性および層間剥離のない機械的特性に優れた容器用キヤ ップに関する。
背景技術
[0002] 食品、工業用品等の容器において、外部からの酸素などの気体の混入による内容 物の酸化劣化の防止、あるいは内部物からの有効成分等の揮散防止のため、多くの 場合、容器にはガスバリヤ一性が要求される。容器本体へのガスバリヤ一性の付与 につ!/、ては、ガスバリヤ一性樹脂ある!/、はアルミニウム箔などのガスバリヤ一材を含 む多層構成とする、あるいはガラス製容器を用いるなど、多くの方法が公知である。と ころがこれらの容器のキャップ、特にプラスチック製キャップは、内容物の触れる表面 積が小さいこともあり、ほとんどバリヤ一性の付与が行われていない。し力も近年、容 器に要求されるバリヤ一性がより厳しいものになってきているのに伴い、キャップに対 するバリヤ一性付与の要求が強まってレ、る。
[0003] 容器用キャップへのバリヤ一性の付与方法としては、アルミニウムなどの金属性ガス ノ リヤー材を接着性樹脂などと積層した積層シートからの薄片をキャップ内側に貼り つける方法が用いられる。しかし、このような多層シートからなるガスケットは、一般的 に前もって作製したシートを打ち抜いて作られるので、生産性が低下するほか、打ち 抜き時に発生するバリが金属を含むためリサイクル処理しにくいといった問題が生じ
[0004] また、これらの容器のキャップについては、これまで金属製キャップが主に用いられ ていたが、近年、安全性や廃棄問題などの点からポリエチレン樹脂やポリプロピレン 樹脂などのプラスチック製のキャップが用いられるようになつてきた (例えば、特許文 献 1〜4参照)。ところがこれらのプラスチック製キャップは一般的にはガスノ リヤー性 を有していないため、内容物の酸化劣化や内部物からの有効成分等の揮散が問題 となる。 [0005] 他方、エチレン ビュルアルコール共重合体などのガスバリヤー材単体をキャップ そのものとして用いることは、強度、成形性に問題点が残されており、実用的でない ので種々の検討が行われてきた。例えば、ポリエチレン 0〜50重量%、エチレンービ ニルアルコ ル共重合体又は、エチレン 酢酸ビュル共重合体けん化物 10〜 50重 量%及び、カルボン酸変性ポリエチレン接着性樹脂 10〜90重量%からなる樹脂組 成物から成形されたことを特徴とする容器用キャップに関する技術が開示されている (例えば、特許文献 5参照)。しかし、相溶化剤としてカルボン酸変性ポリエチレン接 着性樹脂のみを使用しても、相溶性が不十分であるため十分な機械強度が得られな い。
[0006] また、エチレン ビュルアルコール共重合体、ポリアミド樹脂およびォレフィンー不 飽和カルボン酸共重合体からなる樹脂組成物を成形してなる容器用キャップに関す る技術が開示されている(例えば、特許文献 6参照)。しかし、耐熱性が不十分であり 加熱殺菌する用途の容器では問題である。
[0007] また他方で、プラスチック製キャップの内面にガスバリヤ一層を設ける事で、プラス チック製キャップにガスノ リヤー性を付与させる技術が種々開示されてレ、る(例えば、 特許文献 7〜; 10参照)。しかし、キャップ本体とは別にガスノ リヤー層を貼付する必 要があり、工程が複雑になり問題である。

発明の開示 発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0009] 本発明は、前述の事情に鑑み、優れたガスノ リヤー性を備え、層間剥離のない機 械的特性にも優れた容器用キャップを提供することを目的とする。
課題を解決するための手段
[0010] 本発明は、上記課題を解決するため、鋭意研究した結果、本発明を完成するに到 つた。即ち、本発明の容器用キャップは、次の通りである。
[0011] (1) 基材樹脂である熱可塑性樹脂 Aからなる層と副樹脂である熱可塑性樹脂 Bから なる層とを有する容器用キャップであって、厚み方向に少なくとも 3層以上積層された 多層構造であることを特徴とする容器用キャップ。
(2) 前記熱可塑性樹脂 Bの、フィルム厚み 20 a m換算値の酸素透過率が 10ml/ m2' day' atm以下であることを特徴とする(1)に記載の容器用キャップ。
(3) 前記熱可塑性樹脂 Aが、ポリエチレン樹脂、ポリプロピレン樹脂、熱可塑性ポリ エステル樹脂から選択される少なくとも一種であることを特徴とする(1)または(2)に 記載の容器用キャップ。
(4) 前記熱可塑性樹脂 Aがポリオレフイン樹脂を主として含む樹脂であり、前記熱 可塑性樹脂 Bが部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂を主として含む樹脂であることを特徴とす る(1)または(2)に記載の容器用キャップ。
(5) 前記熱可塑性樹脂 Aの含有量が、 99〜53重量%であることを特徴とする(1) 〜(4)のレ、ずれかに記載の容器用キャップ。
(6) 前記ポリオレフイン樹脂がポリプロピレン樹脂またはポリエチレン樹脂であること を特徴とする(4)または(5)に記載の容器用キャップ。
(7) DSC (示差走査熱量計)で測定した、前記部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂の二次転 移点が、 50〜120°Cであることを特徴とする(4)〜(6)のいずれかに記載の容器用 キャップ。
(8) 前記部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂が、メタキシリレンジァミンとジカルボン酸とから 誘導される構成単位を分子鎖中に 20モル%以上含有するポリアミド樹脂であることを 特徴とする(4)〜(7)の!/、ずれかに記載の容器用キャップ。
(9) 密封ライナーを装着されてなる(1)〜(8)の!/、ずれかに記載の容器用キャップ (10) 酸素透過量が、 l X 10_4ml/day' atm以下であることを特徴とする(;!)〜(9 )のレ、ずれかに記載の容器用キャップ。
[0012] なお、酸素透過量は、測定法の項で説明する方法によりモダン'コントロール社 (米 国)製 Ox— TranlO/50型酸素透過率測定装置により温度 25°C、 50%RHの条件 にお!/、てキャップ一個当たりにつ!/、て測定した値である。
発明の効果
[0013] 本発明の容器用キャップは、ガスノ リヤー性および層間剥離のな!/、機械的特性に 優れており、食品、医薬品、農薬等の包装容器用キャップとして好適である。
発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0014] 以下、本発明の容器用キャップの実施の形態を具体的に説明する。
[0015] 可塑性樹脂 A]
容器用キャップの基材樹脂としては、ポリオレフイン樹脂、熱可塑性ポリエステル樹 脂の!/、ずれ力、から選択される一種が好まし!/、。
[0016] (ポリオレフイン樹脂)
本発明に係るポリオレフイン樹脂としては、ポリエチレン樹脂およびポリプロピレン樹 脂が挙げられる。
ポリエチレン樹脂としては、エチレン単独あるいはエチレンと炭素数 3〜20の α— ォレフィンから選ばれた 1種または 2種以上のコモノマーとを重合させた重合体が挙 げられる。 α—ォレフインの代表例としては、例えば、プロピレン、 1ーブテン、 1ーぺ ンテン、 1一へキセン、 1 ヘプテン、 4ーメチルー 1 ペンテン、 1—オタテン、 1ーノ ネン、 1ーデセン、 1 ゥンデセン、 1ードデセン、 1 トリデセン、 1ーテトラデセン、 1 セン、及び 1 エイコセンなどが挙げられる。
[0017] また、ポリエチレン樹脂としては、酢酸ビュル、塩化ビュル、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸 、エチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体中のカルボキシル基の少なくとも一部が金 属陽イオンで中和されたアイオノマー、アクリル酸エステル、メタクリル酸エステル、ス チレン、不飽和エポキシ化合物等のビュル化合物との共重合体等も挙げられる。共 重合成分として、好ましくは酢酸ビュル、塩化ビュル、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、ェチ レン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体中のカルボキシル基の少なくとも一部が金属陽ィ オンで中和されたアイオノマー等であり、更に好ましくは、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、ェ チレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体中のカルボキシル基の少なくとも一部が金属陽 イオンで中和されたアイオノマーで、最も好ましくは、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、ェチレ ンー不飽和カルボン酸共重合体中のカルボキシル基の少なくとも一部が金属陽ィォ ンで中和されたアイオノマーで、これらを用いることで密着性良好な傾向にある。また 、本発明に係るポリエチレン樹脂の、 JIS K7210による 190°Cでの荷重 2.16kgに おけるメルトフローレート(MFR)は、 0. 5〜; 10g/10min、好ましくは;!〜 8g/10mi n、より好ましくは 2〜5g/minの範囲である。 MFRの値が 0. 5g/10min.未満で ある場合、成形時の充分な流動性が得られず、高速成形性に劣る。また、 lOg/10 min.を超える場合は、耐ストレスクラック性や成形後の寸法安定性も劣る。
[0018] また、本発明に係るポリエチレン樹脂の密度は、 0. 940g/cm3以上であることが 好ましい。耐ストレスクラック性を良好にするためには、樹脂の密度は低くすることが 有効であるが、ボトルキャップ用の樹脂組成物においては、密度が 0. 940g/cm3未 満である場合、キャップの剛性が不足し、ボトルへの装填時に変形が発生したり、飲 料を充填したボトルを高温で保管した際にキャップが変形するなどの不具合が生じる
[0019] 本発明に係るポリプロピレン樹脂としては、プロピレンの単独重合体、プロピレンと、 エチレン、ブテン 1、 3—メチルブテン 1、ペンテン 1、 4ーメチルペンテン 1、 へキセン 1、オタテン 1、デセン 1等の炭素数 2〜20程度の他の α—ォレフィ ンゃ、酢酸ビュル、塩化ビュル、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、アクリル酸エステル、メタク リル酸エステル、スチレン等のビュル化合物との共重合体、あるいはへキサジェン、 ォクタジェン、デカジエン、ジシクロペンタジェン等のジェンとの共重合体等が挙げら れる。共重合成分として、好ましくは酢酸ビュル、塩化ビュル、アクリル酸、メタクリノレ 酸、エチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体中のカルボキシル基の少なくとも一部が 金属陽イオンで中和されたアイオノマー等であり、更に好ましくは、アクリル酸、メタク リル酸、エチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体中のカルボキシル基の少なくとも一部 が金属陽イオンで中和されたアイオノマーで、最も好ましくは、アクリル酸、メタクリノレ 酸、エチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体中のカルボキシル基の少なくとも一部が 金属陽イオンで中和されたアイオノマーで、これらを用いることで密着性良好な傾向 にある。本発明で用いられるアイオノマー成分を構成するエチレン 不飽和カルボン 酸共重合体は、エチレンと不飽和カルボン酸との共重合体である力 この不飽和力 ルボン酸としては、炭素数 3〜8の不飽和カルボン酸、具体的には、アクリル酸、メタク リノレ酸、ィタコン酸、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸モノメチルエステル、マレイン酸モノ ェチルエステルなどが用いられる。これらの不飽和カルボン酸のうちで、アクリル酸、 メタクリル酸が特に好ましく用いられる。
[0020] 本発明で用いられるエチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体は、エチレンと上記の ような不飽和カルボン酸とに加えて第 3成分を含んでいてもよぐこのような第 3成分と しては、炭素数 3〜12程度の極性ビュル化合物たとえばアクリル酸ェチル、アタリノレ 酸 iーブチル、アクリル酸 n ブチル、メタクリル酸メチルなどの不飽和カルボン酸エス テル、酢酸ビュルなどのビュルエステルが用いられる。
本発明で用いられるエチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体では、エチレンは 50〜 99重量%、好ましくは 70〜98重量%の量で存在し、また不飽和カルボン酸は 1〜50 重量%、好ましくは 2〜30重量%の量で存在していることが望ましい。
[0021] またエチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体力、エチレン成分および不飽和カルボ ン酸成分に加えて第 3成分を含む場合には、第 3成分は 40重量%まで、好ましくは 30 重量%までの量で存在して!/、ることが望まし!/、。
本発明に係る第 1のポリアミド連鎖によってイオン架橋されているアイオノマー組成 物では、前記エチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体中のカルボキシル基の少なくと も一部が金属陽イオン好ましくは遷移金属陽イオンで中和されたアイオノマー成分が 用いられる。
このようなアイオノマー成分に用いられる金属陽イオンとしては、 Zn2+、 Co2+、 Ni2+、 M Cu2+などの 2価の遷移金属イオンあるいは Ca2+、 Mg2+などのアルカリ土類金 属イオンが好ましぐ特に Zn2+を用いることが好ましい。このような 2価の遷移金属ィォ ンが好ましい理由は、これらの金属陽イオンでエチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合 体のカルボキシル基の一部が中和されて得られたカルボキシルー金属陽イオンの塩 としてのアイオノマーは、部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂末端の 1級ァミノ基との間でアンミ ン錯イオンを形成してイオン結合するために層間剥離しにくく密着性が向上する傾向 にある。本発明で用いられる、上記したような 2価の金属陽イオン好ましくは 2価の遷 移金属陽イオンによるエチレン 不飽和カルボン酸共重合体のカルボキシル基の中 和度は、 3〜95モル0 /0であることが好ましい。

K+などの金属イオンによるエチレン一不飽和カルボン酸共 重合体のカルボキシル基の部分中和度が 20モル%以下であれば、アイオノマー中 の中和されていないカルボキシル基と、部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂の末端の 1級ァミノ 基とがアンモニゥム塩を形成してイオン結合を形成するため、本発明で金属陽イオン として用いること力 Sでさる。
[0023] また、上記した金属陽イオンのうち Ca2+、 Mg2+をアイオノマーの金属イオン種として 用いた場合には、前述したような Zn2+、 Co2+などの 2価の遷移金属イオンを用いた場 合ほどの、前記オリゴマー末端の 1級ァミノ基との反応性は得られない。しかし、金属 陽イオン種として Ca2+、 Mg2+を用いたアイオノマーと、両末端が 1級ァミノ基の部分芳 香族ポリアミド樹脂との反応によって密着性向上の改良効果が認められるため、本発 明の金属陽イオンとして用いることができる。
アイオノマーの金属陽イオン種の数は、 1種類に限定されるものではなぐ 2種類以 上の金属陽イオン種から成るアイオノマーであってもよい。
なお、アイオノマーとしては、前記したような金属陽イオンのアイオノマーのほかに、 n へキシルァミンなどの有機モノアミンあるいはメタキシレンジァミン、へキサメチレ ンジァミンなどの有機ポリアミンによるアンモニゥムイオンを陽イオンとするアイオノマ 一を用いることが出来る力 アンモニゥム塩タイプのアイオノマーは、末端にアミノ基 を有する部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂とは反応しないために、密着性が低下する傾向に ある。 [0024] また、本発明に係るポリプロピレン樹脂の、 JIS K7210による 230°Cでの荷重 2.1 6kgにおけるメノレトフローレート(MFR)は、 0. 5〜50g/10min、好ましくは;!〜 30g /10min、より好ましくは 2〜20g/minの範囲である。 MFRの値が 0. 5g/10min .未満である場合、成形時の充分な流動性が得られず、高速成形性に劣る。また、 5 Og/10min.を超える場合は、機械的特性や成形後の寸法安定性も劣る。
[0025] (熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂)
また、本発明に係る熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂としては、ポリエチレンテレフタレート 樹脂、ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂、ポリトリメチレンテレフタレート樹脂、ポリェチ レンナフタレート樹脂、ポリプチレンナフタレート樹脂等の芳香族ポリエステル樹脂及 びその共重合樹脂などを挙げることが出来る。
[0026] 前記の熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂の中では、機械的特性、経済性の面からポリエ チレンテレフタレート樹脂が最も好ましレ、。ポリエチレンテレフタレート樹脂としては、 好ましくはエチレンテレフタレート単位を 70モル0 /0以上、さらに好ましくは、エチレン テレフタレート単位を 85モル0 /0以上、特に好ましくはエチレンテレフタレート単位を 9 5モル%以上含むことが望まし!/、。
[0027] これらの熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂に共重合できるジカルボン酸としては、イソフタ ノレ酸、ナフタレン一 2, 6 ジカルボン酸、ジフェニール 4, 4'ージカルボン酸、ジフ エノキシエタンジカルボン酸、 4, 4'ージフエニルエーテルジカルボン酸、 4, 4'ージ フエ二ルケトンジカルボン酸等の芳香族ジカルボン酸及びその機能的誘導体、 p ォ キシ安息香酸、ォキシカプロン酸等のォキシ酸及びその機能的誘導体、アジピン酸 、セバシン酸、コハク酸、ダルタル酸、ダイマー酸等の脂肪族ジカルボン酸及びその 機能的誘導体、へキサヒドロテレフタル酸、へキサヒドロイソフタル酸、シクロへキサン ジカルボン酸等の脂環族ジカルボン酸及びその機能的誘導体などが挙げられ、これ らの共重合量は 30モル%以下、好ましくは 15モル%以下、最も好ましくは 5モル% 以下である。
[0028] これらの熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂に共重合できるダリコールとしては、ジエチレン グリコール、 1 , 3—トリメチレングリコール、テトラメチレングリコール、ペンタメチレング リコーノレ、へキサメチレングリコーノレ、オタタメチレングリコーノレ、デカメチレングリコー ノレ、 2 ェチルー 2 ブチルー 1 , 3 プロパンジオール、ネオペンチルグリコール、 ダイマーグリコール等の脂肪族グリコール、 1 , 2—シクロへキサンジオール、 1 , 4 シクロへキサンジォ一ノレ、 1 , 1ーシクロへキサンジメチローノレ、 1 , 4ーシクロへキサン ジメチロール、 2, 5 ノルボルナンジメチロール等の脂環族グリコール、キシリレング リコール、 4, 4 'ージヒドロキシビフエニル、 2, 2 ビス(4 ' βーヒドロキシエトキシフ ェニノレ)プロパン、ビス(4ーヒドロキシフエ二ノレ)スルホン、ビス(4 βーヒドロキシエト キシフエニル)スルホン酸、ビスフエノーノレ Αのアルキレンオキサイド付加物等の芳香 族グリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリブチレンダリコール等のポリアルキレングリ コールなどが挙げられ、これらの共重合量は 30モル%以下、好ましくは 15モル%以 下、最も好ましくは 5モル0 /0以下である。
[0029] さらに、本発明に係る熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂が共重合体である場合に使用され る共重合成分としての多官能化合物としては、酸成分として、トリメリット酸、ピロメリット 酸等を挙げることができ、グリコール成分としてグリセリン、ペンタエリスリトールを挙げ ること力 Sできる。以上の共重合成分の使用量は、ポリエステルが実質的に線状を維持 する程度でなければならない。また、単官能化合物、例えば安息香酸、ナフトェ酸等 を共重合させてもよい。
[0030] 本発明に用いられる熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂の極限粘度は、 0. 45- 1. 30デシ リットル/グラム、好ましくは 0· 50- 1. 20デシリットル/グラム、さらに好ましくは 0· 6 0〜0. 90デシリットル/グラムの範囲である。極限粘度が 0. 45デシリットル/グラム 未満では、得られた容器用キャップの機械的特性が悪い。また、 1. 30デシリットル/ グラムを越える場合は、成形機による溶融時に樹脂温度が高くなつて熱分解が激しく なり、容器内容物の保香性に影響を及ぼす遊離の低分子量化合物が増加したり、キ ヤップが黄色に着色する等の問題が起こるので好ましくない。
[0031] 本発明の容器用キャップに用いられる熱可塑性樹脂 Aは、必要に応じてその他の 熱可塑性樹脂、熱可塑性エラストマ一、耐熱安定剤、耐侯安定剤、帯電防止剤、スリ ップ剤、有機過酸化物、界面活性剤、防曇剤、流滴剤、核剤、顔料、染料、シリカ、タ ルク、マイ力、カーボン、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、金属ステアレート、セル ロースパウダー等の無機あるいは、有機の添加剤、充填剤を本発明の目的を損なわ ない範囲で添加しても良い。特に熱劣化を防止するため、フエノール系、ヒンダードフ ェノール系、リン系及びィォゥ系等の耐熱安定剤、組成物の粘度を調整するため、ジ アルキルパーオキサイド系及びジァシルバーオキサイド系等の有機過酸化物、触媒 の活性を失活させるため、カルシウムステアレート、ジンクステアレート等の金属ステ アレート、キャップ着色のため、酸化チタン、フタロシアニンブルー等の顔料が好適に 用いられる。
[0032] これらの有機系あるいは無機系の添加剤や充填剤を添加する方法としては、公知 な種々の方法、例えば、ヘンシェルミキサー、 V ブレンダー、リボンブレンダー、タ ンブラーブレンダ一等で混合後、一軸押出機、二軸押出機、ニーダー及びバンバリ 一ミキサー等で溶融混練し、造粒あるいは粉砕する方法カ もしくは事前に溶融混練 せずにドライブレンド品又はオートフィーダ一によるブレンド方法を用いることができる
[0033] 可塑性樹脂 B]
容器用キャップの副樹脂としては、フィルム厚み 20 m換算値の酸素透過率が 10 ml/m2 - day. atm以下である熱可塑性樹脂が好ましく用いられ、特に、部分芳香族 ポリアミド樹脂、エチレンビニールアルコール共重合樹脂、ポリグリコール酸樹脂のい ずれか一種から選択することができる。このように酸素透過率が 10ml/m2 ' day. at m以下の熱可塑性樹脂 Bを用いて得られた容器用キャップは、酸素により酸化され 易い内容物を充填した包装容器のキャップとして有益である。
(部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂)
本発明に係る部分芳香族ポリアミドは、脂肪族ジカルボン酸と芳香族ジァミンとから 誘導される単位を主構成単位とするポリアミド、または芳香族ジカルボン酸と脂肪族 ジァミンとから誘導される単位を主構成単位とするポリアミドである。
[0034] 本発明に係る部分芳香族ポリアミドを構成する芳香族ジカルボン酸成分としては、 テレフタル酸、イソフタル酸、フタル酸、 2、 6 ナフタレンジカルボン酸、ジフェニール 4, 4'ージカルボン酸、ジフエノキシエタンジカルボン酸及びその機能的誘導体等 が挙げられる。

本発明の容器用キャップは、基材樹脂である熱可塑性樹脂 Aと副樹脂である熱可 塑性樹脂 Bを厚み方向に少なくとも 3層以上積層された多層構造を有する容器用キ ヤップであって、酸素透過量が 1 X 10_4ml/day atm以下であることを特徴とする 容器用キャップである。

容器用キャップの酸素透過量、厚み方向の層数は、後記する測定法により得られる 値である。

[0088] また、前記キャップの酸素透過量は、好ましくは 0. 5 X 10_4ml/day atm以下、さ らに好ましくは 0. l X 10_4ml/day atm以下である。酸素透過量が 1 X 10_4ml/d ay atmを超える場合には、酸素により酸化され易い容器内容物がキャップから侵入 した酸素の影響を受けて長期間の保存中に変質して風味や味などの変化を起し商 品価値が損なわれる。酸素透過量を 1 X 10— 4ml/day atm以下にするためには、 用いる熱可塑性樹脂 Bの種類、熱可塑性樹脂 Aの含有量、及び容器用キャップの厚 み方向の層数を上記した通りにすることが必要である。
[0089] 容器用キャップとしては、消費者が開栓するまで密封性を保ち、なおかつ開栓後の 簡易密封性を維持し開栓後の保存時にもバリヤ一性を発現することが重要である。 本発明の容器用キャップは、そのままでも密着性は得られるが、密封用ライナー(キ ヤップライナー)と併用することが、より好ましい。

基材樹脂である熱可塑性樹脂 A (以下、樹脂成分 Aと略称する)および副樹脂であ る熱可塑性樹脂 B (以下、樹脂成分 Bと略称する)を、それぞれ異なる押出機 A1およ び B1に投入し、溶融する。溶融温度は、各樹脂成分にとって劣化や変質を起こさな いものであれば構わない。ひとつの指標として、結晶性を示す樹脂成分の場合は、 融点 + (5°C〜30°C)、非晶性の樹脂成分の場合は軟化温度 + (20°C〜150°C)で ある。
[0093] 溶融した樹脂成分 Aおよび樹脂成分 Bは、溶融状態のまま、スタティックミキサに導 かれ、樹脂成分 Aを含有する X層と樹脂成分 Bを含有する Y層の積層体が形成され る。溶融した樹脂成分 Aおよび樹脂成分 Bのスタティックミキサへの投入を容易にす るために、スタティックミキサの前にフィードブロックを設置し、フィードブロックで一度 樹脂成分 Aおよび樹脂成分 Bを合流させてから、スタティックミキサに導いてもよい。
[0094] 本発明におけるスタティックミキサとは、配管内に、横長の長方形の板をその短辺 同士のなす角(捩り角)が 45度〜 270度となるように捩じ曲げた形状のエレメントを、 隣接するエレメントの短辺同士が交差するように交互に配列させた配管内混合装置 のことである。 1つのエレメントを溶融樹脂が通過する時、樹脂が 2層に分割されると 共に、各樹脂層に、エレメントの旋回方向とは逆方向への捩れが生じる。さらに、次の エレメントを通過すると、同様に樹脂の分割と捩れが生じ、 4層に分割される。従って 、樹脂成分 Aと樹脂成分 Bとを 1層ずつ積層した状態で、スタティックミキサに導入す ると、理論上は、最初のエレメントの短辺が積層面に水平であれば、 n個のエレメント を通過すると 2n層に、最初のエレメントの短辺が積層面に垂直であれば 2n+1層になる 、実際には、流路径と長さ、エレメントの捩り角、捩り勾配、樹脂の吐出量、各樹脂 の粘度や表面張力などの溶融特性の影響で変化することもあり、連続した層にはな らない場合がある。出来るだけ連続した層を多くするには使用する樹脂の溶融粘度 や押出条件を適正化することが好ましレ、。
[0095] スタティックミキサのエレメントの L/D (配管長/配管の内径)比は、 1. 0〜3· 0の 範囲が好ましく、 1. 4〜2. 0の範囲がより好ましい。 L/D比が 1. 0より小さいと樹脂 の分割効率が悪くなり、 3. 0を超えるとミキサ内を通過する樹脂の滞留時間が長くな るため実用的ではない。
[0096] スタティックミキサのエレメントの捩り角は、 45度以上とする。捩り角が 45度未満で は樹脂層のねじりが不充分となるからである。捩り角は、 90度以上がより好ましぐ 13 5度以上がさらに好ましい。捩り角の上限は 315度がよい。 315度を超えると過度の ねじりによって、均一な積層構造が得られない。捩り角は 270度以下が好ましぐ 215 度以下がより好ましい。なお、均一な積層構造が得られないというのは、樹脂成分 Β が球状や楕円状などの層状でない状態に分散された構造になることをいう。
[0097] また、スタティックミキサの配管側面を樹脂の進行方向に切断して展開した場合の、 配管内壁とエレメントとのつなぎ目をたどる直線と、樹脂の進行方向とがなす角度、 つまりエレメントの捩り勾配は、 27度以上が好ましい。この捩り勾配が 27度未満では 樹脂層の捩り効果が少なぐ樹脂に充分なねじりを与えるためには L/D比を大きくし なければならないため、実用的ではない。捩り勾配は 38度以上がより好ましぐ 42度 以上がさらに好ましい。一方、捩り勾配が 65度を超える場合は、樹脂の乱流が激しく なるため、積層構造が乱れるため好ましくない。捩り勾配は 54度以下がより好ましぐ 50度以下がさらに好ましい。
[0098] スタティックミキサのエレメントの好ましい形状は、樹脂の吐出量や溶融特性に応じ て適宜選択することができ、また、スタティックミキサを通過する樹脂の溶融特性の変 化に対応して、形状の異なる複数のエレメントを組み合わせて用いることもできる。最 も好ましいエレメントは、 L/D = l . 5、捩り角 180度、捩り勾酉己 46度のものである。

セィコ—電子工業株式会社製の示差熱分析計 (DSC)、 RDC— 220を用いて、部 分芳香族ポリアミドを重縮合後、液体窒素で冷却して採取した 10. Omgを試料として 昇温速度 20°C/分で測定した。
[0109] (3)部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂のゲノレ化時間 内容量約 20mlの枝付き試験管に 100°Cで 24時間減圧乾燥した部分芳香族ポリア ミド樹脂 3gを入れ、減圧窒素置換を 3回行なった後、 30ml/分の窒素ガスを流しな がら、 260°C恒温のオイルバス中に浸漬して加熱し、 0. 5時間ないし 1時間毎にサン プリングした。
加熱処理した試料は冷凍粉砕して lmm程度以下の粉体とし、これの 0. 25gを 96% 硫酸 25mlに加え、マグネティックスタラーで試料が十分に動く程度に攪拌しながら、 室温で 16時間攪拌した。溶解したサンプル全量をガラスフィルター(SIBATA製 ガラスろ過器 1305-1250A ろ過径: 160〜250 μ m)で濾過し、ガラスフィルター上の 不要物の有無を目視により確認した。不溶分を視認するまでに要した加熱処理時間 をゲル化時間とした。
(4)キャップ厚み方向の層数
キャップ厚み方向の層数は、透過型電子顕微鏡を用いて観察して求めた。まず、キ ヤップ天面のほぼ中央から断面が全て含まれるように切片を切り取り、これをエポキシ 樹脂中に包埋した。用いたエポキシ樹脂としては、ルアベック 812、ルアベック NMA (以上ナカライテスタ社製)、 DMP30 (TAAB社製)をそれぞれ 100: 89: 3の割合で 良く混合したものを用いた。次に、サンプルを上述の混合樹脂中に包埋後、温度 60 °Cに調整したオーブン中で 16時間放置し、樹脂を硬化せしめ包埋ブロックを得た。 得られた包埋ブロックを、 日製産業製ウルトラカット Nに取り付け超薄切片を作成し た。まず、ガラスナイフを用いてキャップの観察に供したい部分の断面がレジン表面 に現れるまでトリミングを実施した。次に、ダイアモンドナイフ(住友電工製スミナイフ S K2045)を用いて超薄切片を切りだした。切りだした切片はメッシュ上に回収した後、 室温で四酸化ルテニウム蒸気中に 30分間静置して染色し、薄くカーボン蒸着を施し た。
電子顕微鏡観察は、 日本電子 EM— 2010を加速電圧20015¥、 4万倍の条件 で実施した。得られた像はイメージングプレート (フジ写真フィルム製 FDL UR-V) 上に記録した。イメージングプレート上に記録した信号をデジタルルミノグラフィー(日 本電子製 PixsysTEM)を用いて読み出し、ウィンドウズ (登録商標)パソコン上にデ ジタルの画像情報として記録し、確認される層の数を数えた。なお、層数は、キャップ 力、らの超薄膜切片の電子顕微鏡写真の中央の 100 幅の視野中に存在する層状 に存在する層の数を数え、キャップ厚みに換算して層数とした。この操作を 10回繰り 返し、層数の平均値を求めた。
なお層数とは、基材樹脂の層と副樹脂の層が交互に積層されている形態では、畐 IJ 樹脂(本発明ではキャップ中の質量比の小さい熱可塑性樹脂 B)の層の数を言う。よ つて、基材樹脂と副樹脂が交互に積層していない形態では、層数は 0となる。
[0111] (5)キャップのバリヤ一性(酸素透過係数)
得られたキャップを 70°C、 24時間以上真空乾燥して絶乾状態とし、モダン'コント口 ール社(米国)製 Ox— TranlO/50型酸素透過率測定装置にボトルキャップシール 性テスト球栓式アダプターを設置し、温度 25°C、 50%RHの条件で JIS K7126Bに 準じてキャップ一個当たりの酸素透過量(cc/day · atm)を求めた。

成形した容器用キャップの天面に、切れ目は縦横各 11本の lmm間隔の直交する 切れ目とし、格子状に一辺の長さ lmmの正方形を 100個作った。 JIS K 5400に 準じて行った。剥がれずに残った升目の数を数えた。一部でも剥がれたものは剥が れた数に数えた。 JIS K 5400の碁盤目テープ法に基づいて行った。カッターナイフ はオルファ(株)製 L型(11 SP)を用いた。セロハン粘着テープはニチバン製セロテ一 プ (登録商標) CT— 24Fを用レ、た。
80/100は、 100個のうち、 80個が剥がれずに残ったことを表す。

試験に使用した部分芳香族ポリアミドの特性を表 1に示す。
Ny-MXD6 (a)は、メタキシリレンジァミンとアジピン酸の約 80重量0 /0以上の濃度 の水溶液を用いて、原料調合工程、アミド化反応工程、初期重縮合反応工程および 後期重縮合反応工程から構成される回分式重縮合反応装置によって、製造時間約 120分間以内で重縮合時間を適宜変更して得た。リン原子含有化合物として次亜リ ン酸ナトリウムを添加した(P残存量 = 200ppm、 Na含有量 = 440ppm)。なお、ナト リウム量としては次亜リン酸ナトリウムと水酸化ナトリウムのナトリウム原子の合計量とし てリン原子の約 3倍モルになるようにした。 AEG 185〃0101 CEG 35〃0101 AEG/CEG = 5.3に調整し、 Ny— MXD6 (a)の二次転移点は約 65°Cであった。
Ny-MXD6(b)は、次亜リン酸ナトリウムおよび水酸化ナトリウムを用いないで重縮 合して得た。 AEG

ポリオレフイン樹脂 Alのチップを押出機 Aに投入し、 250°Cで溶融した。一方で、( 株)クラレのェバール ·Τ101 チップを押出機 Βに投入し、 240°Cで溶融した。両押 出機で溶融した樹脂を、樹脂比率が A/B = 60/40 (質量比)となるように、 250°C のフィードブロックに導き、さらに、 250°Cのスタティックミキサ(ノリタケカンパニー製、 12エレメント、内径 38. 4mm、 1エレメントの L/D = 1. 5、 1エレメントの捩り角 180 度、捩り勾配 46度)にて積層化した。次いで 260°Cのダイスに導き、このダイスから溶 融押出し、カッターで切断し、次いで圧縮成形を行い、キャップ(直径 = 28mm、 PS -Lok)を成形した。
結果を表 5に示す。結果は問題な力、つた。

結果を表 5に示す。結果は問題なかった。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 基材樹脂である熱可塑性樹脂 Aからなる層と副樹脂である熱可塑性樹脂 Bからなる 層とを有する容器用キャップであって、厚み方向に少なくとも 3層以上積層された多 層構造であることを特徴とする容器用キャップ。
[2] 前記熱可塑性樹脂 Bの、フィルム厚み 20 ,1 m換算値の酸素透過率が 10ml/m2 ' da y' atm以下であることを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の容器用キャップ。
[3] 前記熱可塑性樹脂 Aが、ポリエチレン樹脂、ポリプロピレン樹脂、熱可塑性ポリエステ ル樹脂から選択される少なくとも一種であることを特徴とする請求項 1または 2に記載 の容器用キャップ。
[4] 前記熱可塑性樹脂 Aがポリオレフイン樹脂を主として含む樹脂であり、前記熱可塑性 樹脂 Bが部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂を主として含む樹脂であることを特徴とする請求 項 1または 2に記載の容器用キャップ。
[5] 前記熱可塑性樹脂 Aの含有量が、 99〜53重量%であることを特徴とする請求項 1〜
4の!/、ずれかに記載の容器用キャップ。
[6] 前記ポリオレフイン樹脂がポリプロピレン樹脂またはポリエチレン樹脂であることを特 徴とする請求項 4または 5に記載の容器用キャップ。
[7] DSC (示差走査熱量計)で測定した、前記部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂の二次転移点
1S 50〜120°Cであることを特徴とする請求項 4〜6のいずれかに記載の容器用キヤ ップ。
[8] 前記部分芳香族ポリアミド樹脂が、メタキシリレンジァミンとジカルボン酸とから誘導さ れる構成単位を分子鎖中に 20モル%以上含有するポリアミド樹脂であることを特徴と する請求項 4〜7のいずれかに記載の容器用キャップ。
[9] 密封ライナーを装着されてなる請求項 1〜8のいずれかに記載の容器用キャップ。
[10] 酸素透過量が、 1 X 10_4ml/day atm以下であることを特徴とする請求項 1〜9の V、ずれかに記載の容器用キャップ。
