  • the above mentioned prior arts are not relevant to the present invention which relates to a HVAC system for use in motor vehicles, containing a Foot Flap which is structurally integrated with a duct and baffles for controlling and guiding the flow of a part of the hot air supplied directly into the main mixing chamber of the systems and is of relatively simple design and hence of low-cost construction, and found to be suitable for meeting the customer specifications of Air-Flow distribution in different modes of operation of the system, and thermal balancing in Bi-Level mode of operations of the system.

  • the flap of this integrated unit When the flap of this integrated unit is close, it prevents hot air from entering into the foot outlet. Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de HVAC pour des véhicules à moteur, permettant de satisfaire à des spécifications de client en termes de distribution de courant d'air et d'équilibre thermique et comprenant une zone d'alimentation en air froid (CZ), une zone d'alimentation en air chaud (HZ), une chambre de mélange primaire (PMC), une chambre de mélange principale (MMC) pour mélanger l'air chaud et l'air froid, et un ensemble intégré composé d'un volet de pied (FF), d'un conduit (DT) et de chicanes (BF) pour contrôler l'air entrant dans la sortie de pied (FO), lorsque le HVAC n'est pas en mode pied et également l'air entrant dans la chambre de mélange principale (MMC) lorsque le HVAC est dans un mode quelconque autre que le mode pied. L'ensemble intégré composé d'un volet de pied, d'un conduit et de chicanes fonctionne en tant qu'unité unique et permet à une partie de l'air chaud provenant de la zone chaude (HZ) d'entrer directement dans la chambre de mélange principale (MMC) sans être en contact avec l'air froid provenant de la zone froide (CZ). Les chicanes (BF) collectent une partie de l'air chaud provenant de la zone chaude (HZ) et le guident jusqu'au conduit (DT).
