Abstract

The invention concerns an applicator device for a hair strand dyeing or lightening product, or for any other hair treatment in the form of tongs, comprising a planar lower jaw (Rep1) having a smooth base (Rep5), forming a dyeing compartment or zone supplied with the treating product, and an upper jaw (Rep2), articulated on the former, maintained tightly closed thereon under a return spring action (Rep8), forcing the end of the jaw which comprises a flexible lip seal (Rep9) to nip the selected strands previously inserted in said dyeing zone on the lower jaw. The lip seal has over its whole length a relieving shape (Rep10) providing somehow a distributing and spreading zone for applying the dyeing product, the backward pull of the tongs automatically squeezing one corner of the dyeing product thereby diffusing it inside each of the hair strands. One or more removable reservoirs containing the hair dyeing composition, clamped above the upper jaw (Rep2), feed the dyeing chamber through an actuated push button. Moreover, the appliance is equipped with one or two removable combs on the side wall of the jaw(s), for prior gripping of the hair strands to be dyed. The applicator may simply be packed in a disposable individual kit for applying a single treatment, for festive or temporary dyeing comprising simplified tongs with ready-for-use refill.

Description

APPLICATOR DEVICE FOR COLORING OR DECOLOURING HAIR FILLER OR OTHER CAPILLARY TREATMENT

The present invention relates to an applicator for dyeing product or bleaching hair locks or for any other hair treatment.

A current trend, in the hair field, is to create in the hair, colorations or discolorations of locks of hair giving effects more or less subtle and varied. Sometimes it is even appreciated to combine several different colors giving an even more spectacular effect.

Until today the coloring of locks of hair remained mostly business professionals, since we are looking for very subtle and lasting effects, but the expectation of the public is to be able to individually make his own hair decoration to the using simple and practical means. The well-known staining principles are of several types:

> Basic staining using colored gel but this process is very fleeting and its effects are inhibited at the first shampoo.

> superficial discolouration, which lodges in the scales of the hair, but whose effect remains visible from a few days to a month. > Longer-lasting, so-called permanent coloration obtained from extemporaneous mixing of various components which are generally a dye and an oxidant.

or more simply, discoloration generally obtained by a mixture of ammonia and oxidant.

Concerning the creation of colored locks, there are many more or less complex processes. There may be mentioned two main manual methods of coloring well-known locks of hair, but with two major drawbacks: the coloring composition not being protected from the external medium must be used quickly since the presence of the oxidizing agent in the composition degrades the color , and the possible contact of the products with the fingers is very troublesome. These methods are:

> The use of a palette on which one comes to arrange the locks of hair previously extracted from the hair which one comes to color then with the help of a brush with coloring product. This method is widely used is impractical and requires great dexterity limited to use by professionals. > The use of a cap styling the whole of the hair hermetically and provided with holes through which, are extracted the locks that it is sufficient to dye then from the outside, the other hair remaining protected under the cap. The risk of clumps of dye at the root of the wicks makes a quality of work very average. The use of instruments or devices more or less complex offer of course significant advantages in keeping the operator from contact or inhalation with aggressive chemicals and toxic. Nevertheless, these instruments or devices, which have often been the subject of patents, often remain poorly performing and never solve all the problems. None allows to perform several different colors simultaneously on separate locks.

The present invention concerning an applicator for a dyeing or bleaching product for locks of hair or for any other hair treatment, solves all these difficulties, in particular by having the following possibilities:

> Fast realization of colored locks by respecting the required quality criteria such as a good regularity, an integral coloration of the root at the end of the wick ensuring its maximum longevity, a coloring without excess of product, avoiding unwanted stains and drips .

> Possible and simultaneous realization of locks of different colors.

> Confinement of coloring products in the device preventing any contact with the external environment, which avoids attacking the hands of the operator, which prevents the latter from inhaling toxic vapors, and which preserves the oxidation premature products, allowing an economical and optimal use of it.

> Prior extraction of the bits to be stained or treated regularly in predetermined sizes and spacings.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an applicator for a dyestuff or bleaching product of locks of hair or for any other hair treatment, according to a particular embodiment of embodiment, is shown in profile view in FIG. 1 and in plan view on the Fig.2. This applicator is in the form of a clamp comprising a lower jaw Rep.1 with handle Rep.22, an upper jaw Rep.2 with handle Rep.23, a color zone fed by a reservoir Rep.3 of dye product or treating, a removable comb of selection of locks Rep.4. Note that the jaws are deliberately offset laterally with respect to their corresponding operating handle.

The Repl lower jaw is flat and smooth at its base Rep.5, and is a compartment or area of color thanks to the side walls Rep.6. The upper jaw Rep.2, which can be translucent to allow the operator to control the work taking place inside the device, is articulated on the previous one at the axis Rep.7 and is kept closed on this by the action of the return spring Rep.8. Due to the effect of this spring, the end of the jaw which comprises a flexible lip seal Rep.9, strongly relies on the base Rep.5 of the lower jaw on the one hand and ensures the sealing at the level of side walls Rep.6 on the other hand. The lip seal, which can also be translucent, has across its width a relief form Rep.10 ensuring a kind of distribution and distribution area for the application of coloring.

Another seal Rep.13 located in the rear part of the upper jaw Rep.2 prevents overflow of the product and undesirable leaks during the coloring work. The removable reservoir Rep.3 having a main axis Rep.14 containing the hair coloring composition is clamped above the upper jaw Rep.2, comprising at its end a tubular conduit Rep.16 coming into the hole Rep.12 feed through the upper jaw Rep.2, then the lip seal at its center. The main axis is equipped with a piston Rep.17 sealed by the O-ring Rep.18, allowing to slide inside the tank and having at the rear a pushbutton Rep.19 facilitating its insertion.

In the lateral part of the jaw Rep.l detachable comb Rep.4 is threaded horizontally inside a groove Rep.20 and then simply stuck by its shape slightly conical tenon. This comb comprises a series of distributed teeth Rep.21 in arrangements corresponding to the desired spacings for the locks of hair to be colored. These teeth are optionally inclined thus facilitating the collection of locks of hair. The operating mode of this applicator is as follows: The reservoir Rep.3 is previously reloaded from the product: extraction of the piston Rep.17 using the axis Rep.14, filling the reservoir and replacing the piston. The operator then chooses the comb Rep.4 corresponding to the spacing and the density of locks of hair to be colored. The locks are selected and held by one hand. With the other hand the clamp is opened by tightening the handles Rep.22 and Rep.23, then the locks are introduced laterally inside the opening, this operation is greatly facilitated by the fact that the operating handles offset laterally relative to the jaws allow the free passage of hair. The jaws are then brought closer to the scalp, then the release of the handles allows the return spring Rep.8 to apply an energetic pinch of the selected locks. A pressure on the pusher Rep.19 of the reservoir makes it possible to inject the dye product inside the coloring zone, the latter remaining trapped between the deformable lip seal, the side walls Rep.6 and the rear seal Rep.13. The pulling back of the clamp naturally crushes, through the lip seal the product evenly distributed along its length, which induces its natural diffusion inside each of the locks of hair while the rear seal Rep. 13 avoids external overflows. The operation continues until complete release of the locks.

This operation is repeated as many times as necessary in order to treat all the hair.

In a variant, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, it is possible to add, in the lateral part of the jaw 2, a detachable comb Rep. 29 which is identical to comb Rep. 4 and whose teeth are perfectly visible. to the screw with the latter, threaded in the same way horizontally inside a groove Rep.30, then stuck simply by its shape slightly conical tenon. Thus, when the jaws Rep.l and Rep.2 are closed, the two combs Rep.4 and Rep.29 are in perfect contact and are presented as a single comb. For the collection of locks of hair the procedure starts in the same way as in the case of a single comb but with the difference that when the clamp is opened, the jaws that move apart induce the separation of the two combs . In the case of thick locks and long or in the case of frizzy or curly hair unraveling is then greatly facilitated.

According to another particular embodiment as shown in Fig.5, the lower jaw Rep.1 comprises a set of compartments made by the internal partitions Rep.24, while the lip seal Rep.25 is divided into several parts separately sealing each of the compartments, firstly at the base and secondly at the respective side walls Rep.6 or Rep.24 as appropriate, the lip seal having across its width of each of the compartments a relief form Rep.10 providing a sort of distribution and distribution area for the application of the coloring. At the right of the coloring zone, at each of the compartments, a supply port Rep.12 passes through the upper jaw Rep.2, then the lip seal at its center. At each of the openings of the orifices a specific reservoir clamped on the upper jaw comes to slip into its tubular duct Rep.16. A stirrup Rep.27, ensures simultaneous support on each of the push buttons of the tanks.

In this case, the operating mode of this applicator remains very similar to the previous except that the action on the stirrup Rep.27 allows the simultaneous depression of each piston which induces a dye injection different and separately in each compartments and thus to perform colorations in various shades.

According to another particular embodiment, the applicator is made with a packaging according to a disposable personal treatment application kit for festive or ephemeral coloration comprising a simplified clip with a ready-to-use dye refill.

Claims

1. Applicator for a dye or bleaching product of locks of hair or for any other hair treatment in the form of a clamp, characterized by its Repl lower jaw, flat and smooth at its base Rep. 5 delimited by its side walls Rep. 6, which constitutes a compartment or zone of coloring supplied by the dyeing, decolouring or treating product, then an upper jaw Rep.2, which can be translucent to enable the operator to control the work taking place inside the apparatus, articulated on the previous one at the axis Rep.7, kept closed thereon by the action of the return spring Rep.8, forcing the end of the jaw which comprises a flexible lip seal Rep.9 to to rely heavily on the base of the lower jaw and thus ensuring an energetic pinching of the selected locks previously introduced into said coloring zone, this lip seal also ensuring nt sealing at the side walls Rep.6, which can also be translucent, occurring over its entire width in a relief form Rep.10 providing a kind of distribution and distribution area for the application of coloring, the traction towards the back of the forceps naturally crushing the product, which induces its natural diffusion inside each of the locks of hair while the joint Rep.13 located in the rear part of the jaw Rep.2 avoids external overflows .

Applicator for a dyestuff or bleaching product of strands of hair or for any other hair treatment according to claim 1, characterized by a detachable reservoir Rep.3 having a main axis Rep.14, containing the staining composition, or of discoloration or any other hair treatment, clamped above the upper jaw Rep.2, comprising at its end a tubular conduit Rep.16 coming into the supply port Rep.12 through the upper jaw Rep.2 then the lip seal in its center at the right of the coloring zone, the main axis having in the rear part a button Rep.19, equipped with a piston Rep.17 sealed by the O-ring Rep.18, allowing to slide inside the tank to push back the product in the coloring zone.

Applicator for dye product or bleaching hair strands or for any other hair treatment according to claim 1, characterized by the handles Rep.22 and Rep.23 shifted laterally relative to the jaws Rep.l and Rep.2 such that when they are open, the free passage of locks of hair introduced laterally is greatly facilitated.

Applicator for dye product or bleaching hair strands or for any other hair treatment according to claim 1, characterized by a detachable comb Rep.4 located in the lateral portion of the lower jaw Rep.l, threaded horizontally inside the a groove Rep.20 and then simply stuck by its slightly conical tenon shape, this comb comprising a series of distributed teeth Rep.2 according to provisions corresponding to the desired spacings for the locks of hair to be colored, these teeth possibly being inclined facilitating thus the collection of locks of hair.

Applicator for dye product or bleaching locks of hair or for any other hair treatment according to claim 1, characterized by a second removable comb Rep.29 lateral part of the jaw Rep.2, symmetrical comb Rep.4 and including the teeth are perfectly vis-a-vis with the latter, threaded in the same way horizontally inside a groove Rep.30 and then simply stuck by its shape slightly conical tenon, so when the jaws

Rep.l and Rep.2 are closed, the two combs Rep.4 and Rep.29 in perfect contact and appearing as a single comb, separate into two combs when the jaws open.

Applicator for dyestuff or bleaching product of locks of hair or for any other hair treatment according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, characterized by the lower jaw Rep.l comprising a set of compartments made by the internal partitions Rep .24, while the lip seal Rep.25 is cut into several parts separately sealing each of the compartments on the one hand to base level, and secondly at the side walls Rep.6 or Rep.24 depending on the case, the lip seal having across its width of each compartment, a relief form Rep.10 ensuring in any way a zone of distribution and distribution for the application of the coloration, at each of the compartments, a supply port Rep.12 passing through the upper jaw Rep.2, then the lip seal at its center, at each a specific reservoir clamped on the upper jaw coming into the tubular duct Rep.16, the stirrup Rep.27, to ensure simultaneous support on each of the push buttons of the tanks.

7. Application kit for dye product or bleaching hair strands or for any other hair treatment according to claims 1, 2, 3, characterized by its packaging for an individual treatment, disposable, for festive or ephemeral coloration comprising only a clamp with its two jaws Rep.l and Rep.2 constituting a single narrow compartment to ensure the treatment of a single wick, the reservoir Rep.3 is a ready-to-use refill.
