[28] This idea can also be applied to an electronic commerce service method of the present invention. That is, if the payment method is to donate the advertising price to a predetermined group in the star s name, the fifth step may also include a step of managing the adjustment details so as to provide the adjustment details to a group terminal, which is for internet connection of the predetermined group.
[29] Alternatively, the advertising means may include the use of an on-line portrait right of the star.
[30] Furthermore, the idea disclosed in the present invention can be also applied to cases in which an internet server intermediates and vicariously executes any contract between a rightful person having an advertising means besides a star and a person who intends to sell a product on line and carries out as an on-line proxy.
[31] Now, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawing. Whenever possible, the same reference number will be used throughout the drawing to refer to the same or similar element. [32] Fig. 1 is a block diagram illustrating an electronic commerce service system and a method thereof according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[33] Referring to Fig. 1, the electronic commerce service system includes a purchaser terminal 100, a seller terminal 300, a star terminal 400 and an electronic commerce server 200. The purchaser terminal 100 is an internet terminal such as a PC used by a purchaser who intends to get electronic commerce service on the internet. Here the term terminal may include a portable apparatus such as a PDA with a wireless LAN card or a laptop computer. The seller terminal 300, which is also an internet connection terminal, is used by a seller who intends to sell a product using an electronic commerce service provided by the electronic commerce server 200.
[34] The star terminal 400 receives a list of advertising-proposed products from the seller terminal 300 through the internet, and is used to notify a contract result to the electronic commerce server 200 and check the details of the accumulated advertising price resulting from product selling by the server 200.
[35] Although there are various advertising means provided by stars, the use of a star's portrait right may be a typical type of an advertising means. Moreover, if some animals, places and brands are utilized in advertising products, the star terminal 400 may include a terminal used for anybody having a right on them.
[36] The electronic commerce server 200 of Fig. 1 is the key element of the present invention for providing an on-line market place for the seller/purchaser/advertiser and generating product selling by the purchaser terminal 100.
[37] Basically, the electronic commerce server 200 is configured to notify the product advertisements on the internet, receive product orders through the purchaser terminal 100, inform the orders to the seller terminal 300, manage follow-up measures such as giving the purchaser an evaluation right, and do general electronic escrow operations such as holding the paid money temporarily and vicariously as an on-line proxy.
[38] The electronic commerce server 200, which connects a seller with a star by the internet, receives a list of proposed products those require a star's advertisement from the seller terminal 300. Then, the star terminal 400 receives a list of the proposed products from the seller terminal 300 by means of a mail or a message via the electronic commerce server 200. The electronic commerce server 200 can also provide pop-ups to the star's terminal 400 when a star logs in the site provided by the server 200.
[39] After a star checks whether the quality or type of products matches with his or her image and finishes his or her selection, the details of the selected products are transmitted to the electronic commerce server 200, and the electronic commerce server 200 transmits the details of the selected products to the seller terminal 300 to let the seller know which product has been selected by the star. [40] If there is a final approval from the seller terminal 300, the electronic commerce server 200 constructs a database 210 of the selected product, and finishes a basic preparation to advertise and sell products on the internet in place of the star and the seller.
[41] Thereafter, the electronic commerce server 200 databases the contract content by each product selected by the star or by each seller who cooperates with the star so as to construct an advertising contract database 220. The contract content stored in the advertising contract database 220 is referred whenever a sale is generated in the on-line market place provided by the electronic commerce server 220, and used to renew a sale database 230 according to the contract content.
[42] The content of the advertising contract is required to include some basic contents such as an advertising price, a payment method and an advertising period. For example, if a predetermined rate of the product sale is to be paid to a star as an advertising price, the sales multiplied by the corresponding rate should be accumulated in the sale database 230 when an on-line sale is made by the purchaser terminal 100 so that a star can make reference to the accumulation details with his or her terminal 400.
[43] Depending on the contract between the star and the seller, when a predetermined period passes by, the electronic commerce server 200 notifies a total advertising price and a total sale price which will be transferred to the star terminal 400 and the seller terminal 300 respectively according to the total product sale within that predetermined period. The sale price to be paid to the seller is, of course, a price obtained by deducting an advertising price to be paid to the star and a commission to the electronic commerce service provider from the total sales.
[44] Meanwhile, it is preferable that the electronic commerce server 200 saves and manages the adjustment details with an additional database 240 for stability and transparency of the trade after an adjustment of the paid amount to the star and the seller is completed.
[45] Although not shown in Fig. 1, if a star wants to pay an advertising price to a predetermined patronage group designated by the star, the electronic commerce server 200 preferably saves and manages details of an accumulated amount to be paid to the patronage group with the sale database 230. In this case, the support group may connect to the electronic commerce server 200 and identify the accumulation details of the donation given by the star via the internet.
[46] Although the foregoing description of the invention has been presented for purposes of illustration and description, modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teachings. For example, the electronic commerce service system of the present invention may further comprise a settlement server to make an automatic transfer of an advertising price to a star's account after a predetermined period of an advertisement contract expires. [47]
Industrial Applicability
[48] As described above, it is possible to make an on-line negotiation regarding an advertising contract between a star and a seller through the internet. Also, it is possible to manage details on an advertising price and a sale price to be paid to the star and the seller depending on the content of the contract between the star and the seller when a product sale is generate on line, and to manage adjustment details with an internet server even after completing the settlement for the star and the seller.
