Definitions
- the invention relates to a chain magazine, in particular a chain magazine for holding tools, in particular tools of a machine tool or a machining center.
- Chain magazines for tools of machine tools, in particular machining centers are from, for example
- the chain magazines described in these documents have a chain, the chain links of which are each provided with a tool holder.
- the chain runs over sprockets that deflect the chain by 90 ° and 180 °.
- the chain must be sufficiently tensioned.
- the chain is driven by a driven sprocket.
- the other sprockets are usually provided with a freewheel.
- the endless chain can be meandered over a suitable arrangement of the sprockets in order to achieve the highest possible packing density in the chain magazine. Such a construction is shown in DE 3431091 A1.
- DE 3905780 Cl shows such a generic construction in which the chain links run in the straight conveyor sections of the chain to improve the positional positioning in guide rails.
- the object of the invention is to provide a chain magazine with which, on the one hand, a high packing density can be achieved in the magazine and, on the other hand, perfect, low-maintenance operation of the chain magazine is also guaranteed over a longer operating period.
- This object is solved by the features of claim 1.
- the chain links are continuously guided in a guide rail which is designed so that the receiving sections of the
- Chain links on which the object to be picked up describe a circular arc or an arc segment at the deflection points of the chain.
- the chain magazine according to the invention manages without chain wheels that deflect the chain. Rather, the chain is mostly guided continuously in at least one guide rail.
- This guide rail is designed in such a way that the receiving sections mentioned also describe an arc or an arc segment at the deflection points of the chain, that is to say both inside and outside curves of the chain.
- the chain has curves of 90 ° and more than 90 °.
- a meandering shape of the chain guide is preferred in order to achieve a high packing density.
- the chain links are advantageously articulated to one another directly via connecting sections.
- the chain links each have two connecting sections which are connected to connecting sections of the adjacent chain links.
- Connection sections are advantageously provided on the side of the receiving sections.
- a guide section is expediently provided for guiding the chain links in said guide rail relative to the receiving sections or the connecting sections.
- the guide section expediently has at least one guide element which engages in the guide rail and ensures the guidance of the chain link.
- the guide elements are expediently provided with a roller or a sliding element in order to ensure a low-friction but sufficiently accurate Ensure guidance in the guide rail.
- the guide element can be designed such that it guides the chain link sufficiently in all required directions.
- other contact elements can also be provided on the chain link, in addition to
- a contact element is expediently provided on the chain link at a right angle to the guide element. Constructions with two opposing contact elements are also conceivable. These contact elements can also have a roller or a slider.
- the receiving section advantageously has the shape of a fork, the open ends of the fork pointing away from the guide rail.
- Connecting sections of the chain links are advantageously provided at the ends of a U-shaped area of the chain links, with a wide variety of designs being conceivable.
- a design as in the specific exemplary embodiment has proven itself, in which a central projection is provided on one side of the chain link and two projections which are spaced apart from one another on the opposite side of the chain link and accommodate the central projection of the previous chain link.
- the connection sections can expediently be connected via bolts.
- the chain is advantageously driven by at least one drive unit.
- This drive element can have a type of worm that is driven by a motor.
- This “snail” component is provided with a helical groove into which a drive element the chain links engages.
- the worm can be designed or have a length such that several chain links are in engagement with the worm.
- a construction was chosen in which the contact element simultaneously represents the drive element and engages in the aforementioned groove of the screw.
- the drive element can also be designed as a separate element.
- other elements of the chain link for example the guide elements, can be provided for engagement with the worm. According to the detailed description
- An exemplary embodiment of a drive unit with a helical element has a helical groove.
- an element with a helical rib can also be provided, which accordingly engages with the drive element of the chain links.
- the chain links are not only driven by the engagement of the chain links with the drive component designed as a worm in the specific exemplary embodiment, but they are also additionally aligned by the engagement with the helical groove or a helical rib.
- the transfer station for taking over the objects from the chain links is advantageously provided in the area of this drive unit, since in this area the chain links and thus the objects to be transported are better aligned than in other areas of the guide rail.
