In particular, this distance ensures that the distribution between liquid and gas phase is uniform over the cross-section of the apparatus.
- the number and arrangement of the through openings in the active surface of the distributor plate depend on the design of the apparatus. If the apparatus comprises devices such as catalyst particles of a fixed bed arranged on a holding rack or contact tubes welded with catalyst particles in a tube plate, the distributor devices according to the invention ensure that the cross section of the apparatus is uniformly exposed to the two-phase mixture.
