Abstract

Vorgeschlagen wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Fettsäureestern, bei dem man (a) Fettsäuren in Gegenwart von Esterasen mit wasserhaltigen aliphatischen Alkoholen mit einem Siedepunkt zwischen 60 und 120°C behandelt und dabei ein Vorveresterungsprodukt herstellt, (b) aus dem Vorveresterungsprodukt Wasser und nicht umgesetzten Alkohol abtrennt, (c) das Vorveresterungsprodukt unter erneuter Zugabe des gleichen aliphatischen Alkohols wie unter Schritt (a) einer zweiten Veresterung unterwirft, die chemisch katalysiert wird, und (d) den abgetrennten wasserhaltigen Alkohol aus Schritt (c) zur enzymatischen Vorveresterung in Stufe (a) erneut einsetzt.
