Definitions
- the present invention relates to a platinum or platinum alloy hollow tube backup structure used in a high temperature environment (hereinafter also referred to as “the backup structure of the present invention”).
- the backup structure of the present invention is suitable as a backup structure for platinum or a platinum alloy-type hollow tube used as a molten glass conduit in a glass production apparatus. It is also suitable as a back-up structure of the riser pipe and the downcomer pipe of simply called “vacuum deaerator”.
- the present invention also relates to a vacuum degassing apparatus, a depressurizing defoaming method, and a glass manufacturing apparatus for molten glass using the backup structure.
- a hollow tube made of platinum or a platinum alloy such as platinum-gold alloy or platinum-rhodium alloy is used for a molten glass conduit. Yes.
- platinum and platinum alloys are expensive materials, it is desirable to make the hollow tube as thin as possible.
- a backup structure is generally arranged around a hollow tube made of platinum or a platinum alloy, and the backup structure bears the mechanical strength of the hollow tube.
- the presence of a backup structure is particularly important because the force applied to the inner wall surface from the molten glass flowing inside is large.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram showing a general configuration of a vacuum degassing apparatus.
- the molten glass G in the melting tank 200 is degassed under vacuum and used in a process of continuously supplying to the next processing tank.
- the cylindrical vacuum degassing tank 102 is housed and disposed in the vacuum housing 101 so that its long axis is oriented in the horizontal direction.
- a rising pipe 103 oriented in the vertical direction is attached to the lower surface of one end of the vacuum degassing tank 102, and a lowering pipe 104 is attached to the lower surface of the other end.
- a heat insulating material 105 is provided around the decompression defoaming tank 102, the ascending pipe 103, and the descending pipe 104 so as to cover them.
- Patent Document 1 describes a backup structure for a high-temperature melt conduit such as a riser pipe and a downfall pipe of a vacuum degassing apparatus.
- a brick for heat insulation is arranged as a knock-up structure around the ascending pipe and the descending pipe.
- Patent Document 1 (US5851258, 6th paragraph, 5th line) exemplifies zirconia-based electric bricks as heat-insulating bricks because they have corrosion resistance against molten glass.
- Patent Document 1 Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 09-059028 (US5851258)
- alumina-zircoua-silica (AZS) -based electric brick is most widely used as a furnace material for glass kilns because of its superior heat resistance and corrosion resistance to molten glass. It has been done. Because AZS electric bricks are excellent in heat resistance and corrosion resistance against molten glass, they are suitable materials for the back-up structure of platinum or platinum alloy hollow tubes that constitute the riser and descender tubes of vacuum degassing equipment. It was thought. However, when the AZS quality electric brick is heated to 1450 ° C or higher at normal pressure, a phenomenon of glass exudation that is pushed out of the matrix glass S-brick occurs. In a glass kiln, it may be a problem that the exuded glass is mixed into the molten glass or the modified glass generated by the reaction between the exuded glass and the molten glass is mixed into the molten glass.
- the molten glass passes through the hollow tube made of white metal or platinum alloy constituting the riser and downcomer, so that the AZS quality electric brick does not directly contact the molten glass. . For this reason, it is unlikely that the above problems will occur.
- the present inventors do not exceed 1450 ° C. It has been found that glass exudation may occur even at temperatures of, for example, 1200 to 1450 ° C.
- the deformation of the tube wall is significant, it is necessary to replace the platinum or platinum alloy hollow tubes that make up the riser and downcomer. Also, the deformation of the tube wall needs to be replaced Even if it is not noticeable, the mechanical strength of the tube is considered to be lower than before deformation. The empty pipe may be damaged.
- the present invention solves the above-mentioned problem, and a back-up structure of a hollow tube made of platinum or a platinum alloy in which the occurrence of glass exudation in a brick used as a knock-up is prevented, and the An object of the present invention is to provide a vacuum degassing apparatus and a depressurizing defoaming method for molten glass, and a glass manufacturing apparatus using a backup structure.
- the present invention is a backup structure of a hollow tube made of platinum or a platinum alloy used in a high temperature environment
- the backup structure includes an electric brick layer provided along an outer wall surface of the hollow tube made of platinum or a platinum alloy,
- a platinum or platinum alloy hollow tube knock-up structure in which the electric brick layer has a matrix glass phase content of 10% by mass or less and the electric brick has a composition ratio of 50 vol% or more. provide.
- the composition ratio of electric energies having a matrix glass phase content of 10 mass% or less is 80 vol% or more.
- the electric brick having a matrix glass phase content of 10% by mass or less preferably has a metal oxide content of unavoidable impurities of less than 2% by mass.
- the electric brick having a content of the matrix glass phase of 10% by mass or less is preferably an alumina electric brick or a high zirconia electric brick.
- a refractory heat insulating material is further disposed outside the electric brick layer.
- the present invention provides a vacuum degassing apparatus for molten glass having an ascending pipe, a depressurizing degassing tank, and a descending pipe.
- a vacuum degassing apparatus using the above is provided.
- the present invention provides a backup structure of the present invention as a backup of a molten glass conduit.
- a glass manufacturing apparatus using a structure is provided.
- the present invention is a method for degassing molten glass using a vacuum degassing apparatus having an ascending pipe, a vacuum degassing tank and a descending pipe,
- a vacuum degassing method for molten glass using the backup structure of the present invention is provided as a backup of at least one of the ascending pipe and the descending pipe.
- the composition ratio of the electric brick whose content of the matrix glass phase in the electric brick layer provided along the outer wall surface of the hollow tube is 10 mass% or less is 50 vo 1% or more. Therefore, when the backup structure is used as a backup for a hollow tube made of platinum or a platinum alloy used in a high temperature environment, the amount of glass exudation from the electric brick layer is very small. For this reason, there is no possibility that the outer wall surface of the hollow tube made of platinum or a white metal alloy is pushed inward by the exuded matrix glass phase and the tube wall surface is deformed. Therefore, by using the backup structure of the present invention, an expensive platinum or platinum alloy hollow tube can be used for a long period of time.
- the heating temperature of the electric brick layer provided along the outer wall surface of the platinum or platinum alloy hollow tube constituting the riser and downcomer should be lower than 1200 ° C and even lower than 1000 ° C. It's not realistic to demonstrate the vacuum degassing performance.
- the heating temperature of the electric brick layer provided along the outer wall surface of the riser and downcomer is 1000-1450 ° C. Furthermore, even at 1450 ° C or higher, the outer wall surface of the platinum or platinum alloy hollow tube constituting the riser and downcomer pipes is pushed inward by the exuded matrix glass phase, and the tube wall surface There is no risk of deformation. For this reason, There is no fear that the heating temperature of the foaming device is restricted by the electric brick layer provided along the outer wall surface of the platinum tube made of platinum or platinum alloy constituting the riser tube and the downflow tube.
- the glass manufacturing apparatus of the present invention uses the backup structure of the present invention as a backup for the molten glass conduit, the reduced pressure is released due to, for example, trouble, and the glass manufacturing apparatus also removes the molten glass. In some cases, it is not necessary to replace the molten glass conduit. Thus, a molten glass conduit can be used over a long period of time. Therefore, the productivity of glass is improved by using the glass manufacturing apparatus of the present invention. In addition, glass manufacturing costs are reduced.
- the vacuum degassing apparatus of the present invention uses the backup structure of the present invention as a backup of the hollow tube made of platinum or platinum alloy constituting the riser pipe and the downcomer pipe, the temperature of the vacuum degassing apparatus is Is not likely to be constrained by the electric brick layer provided along the outer wall of the riser and downcomer. Accordingly, the temperature of the vacuum degassing apparatus can be set to an optimum temperature considering the defoaming characteristics and flow characteristics of the molten glass.
- the molten glass starts to flow after the vacuum degassing apparatus is assembled, the molten glass is usually started after the vacuum degassing apparatus is heated. In this case, preheating is often performed at a higher temperature than during normal operation. Even if the vacuum degassing apparatus of the present invention is heated to such a high temperature, it is possible to sufficiently heat the matrix structure so that the matrix glass phase does not ooze out from the backup structure.

- FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged view showing the rising pipe 103 and the backup structure 1 of the vacuum degassing apparatus 100 of FIG.
- the backup structure 1 of the downcomer pipe 104 has the same configuration.

- a refractory brick layer 12 is provided on the outside of the electric brick layer 11.
- the refractory brick layer 12 is formed by stacking the refractory bricks 12a along the longitudinal direction of the rising pipe 103.
- the term "refractory brick” refers to bricks that are generally classified as refractory bricks, excluding electric bricks, that is, fired bricks.
- the gap between the refractory brick layer 12 and the decompression housing 101 is filled with an irregular refractory 13. That is, in the case of the backup structure 1 shown in FIG. 2, the backup structure 1 is composed of the electric brick layer 11 and the refractory heat insulating material disposed on the outer side, and the refractory heat insulating material is the refractory brick layer 12. And an unshaped refractory 13.
- the electric brick 1 la constituting the electric brick layer 11 has a low porosity and a dense structure, and its constituent phases constitute a stable crystal structure. Due to these characteristics, the electric brick 11a is excellent in heat resistance, corrosion resistance to molten glass, and resistance to contamination of the glass substrate. Therefore, it is suitable as a layer material provided along the outer wall surface of the rising pipe 103. [0026]
- the ratio of the matrix glass phase 10 mass 0/0 following Den ⁇ bricks hereinafter, "low matrix glass This is characterized by the use of “Souden brick”.
- the electric bricks 11a constituting the electric brick layer 11 are low matrix glass phase electric bricks, that is, at least the part closest to the outer wall surface of the hollow tube, that is, the electric brick layer 11a.
- the composition ratio of the low matrix glass phase electric bricks should be 50 vol% or more.
- the component ratio here means the component ratio of the low matrix glass phase electric brick in the whole brick that is installed along the outer wall surface of the hollow tube and is closest to the outer wall surface. Therefore, a part of the brick that is closest to the outer wall surface of the hollow tube in the electric brick layer 11 may be an electric leg other than the low matrix glass phase electric brick.
- the ratio of the matrix glass phase can be obtained by calculating the area of the glass phase by image analysis, or by obtaining the components of the glass phase (SEM-EDX) and comparing with the entire analysis value. .
- AZS quality electric brick has been widely used as the material for the layer (the layer corresponding to the electric brick layer 11 in Fig. 2) provided along the outer wall of the riser and downcomer of the vacuum degassing equipment. It was.
- AZS electric bricks have a matrix glass phase ratio of, for example, 15 to 21% by mass. Therefore, when heated to 1450 ° C or higher, the outer wall surface of the hollow tube is exposed by the leached matrix glass phase. there is pushed inwards, there fear force s tube wall is deformed.
- the temperature of the electric bricks is 1450 ° C or less, specifically In the case of 1000. Temperature between C and 1450 ° C, especially 1200 ° C power et al. 1450.
- the outer wall surface of the hollow tube may be pushed inward by the matrix glass phase exuded even at a temperature between C, and the tube wall surface may be deformed.
- the composition ratio of the low matrix glass phase electric brick in the electric brick layer 11 is 50 vol% or more, so that even when heated to 1450 ° C or higher, the glass exudation The amount is very small. For this reason, the outer wall of the hollow tube is caused by the leached matrix glass phase. There is no fear that the surface is pushed inward and the wall surface of the tube is deformed.
- the electric brick layer 11 force S1000.
- C force et al. 1450 Between C, especially 1200.
- C force et al. 1450 Even when heated to a temperature between C, the amount of glass exudation is very low. For this reason, there is no possibility that the outer wall surface of the hollow tube is pushed inward by the exuded matrix glass phase and the tube wall surface is deformed.
- the composition ratio of the low matrix glass phase electric brick in the electric brick layer 11 is high. It is preferable that the composition ratio of the low matrix glass phase electric brick in the electric brick layer 11 is 80 vol% or more.
- the electric brick layer 1 1 is all composed of the low matrix glass phase electric brick. Particularly preferred.
- the low matrix glass phase electric brick has a low content of the matrix glass phase.
- the low-matrix glass phase electric brick is preferably 3% by mass or less, more preferably the content of the matrix glass phase is not more than mass%. It is further preferred that the low matrix glass phase brick is substantially free of matrix glass phase.
- the content of the metal oxide present as an inevitable impurity is preferably less than 2% by mass.
- metal oxides such as Fe 2 O, CuO, Pb 0, and Bi 2 O are inevitable impurities.
- the electric brick layer 11 is heated to a high temperature when the vacuum degassing apparatus 100 is used.
- the electric brick layer 11 is 1000. C to 1450. It is heated to a temperature between C, especially between 1200 ° C and 1450 ° C.
- electric brick 11a is Fe O, CuO, PbO, Bi O
- the riser tube 103 may be melted even though the riser 103 is heated to a temperature that does not cause a design problem.
- the composition ratio of the low matrix glass phase electric brick in the electric brick layer 11 is 50 vol% or more.
- Existence is a particular problem. If low-matrix glass-phase electric bricks with an inevitable impurity content of less than 2% by mass are used, there is almost no risk of forming a low-melting intermetallic alloy. Even if formed, the influence on the melting point of the platinum material constituting the riser tube 103 can be ignored.
- the content of the metal oxide present as an inevitable impurity is more preferably less than 1% by mass, and further preferably less than 0.05% by mass.
- Low matrix glass phase electric bricks are Fe O, CuO, PbO, Bi O
- the electric brick layer 11 includes electric bricks other than the low matrix glass phase electric bricks (hereinafter referred to as “other electric bricks”), other metal bricks also exist as inevitable impurities.
- the content of is preferably less than 2% by mass, more preferably less than 1% by mass, and even more preferably less than 0.05% by mass.
- Other electric bricks are also Fe O
- a metal oxide such as CuO, PbO, and BiO is not substantially contained.
- electric bricks suitable as low matrix glass phase electric bricks include, for example, hu-alumina electric brick, hu, j3_alumina electric brick, j3_alumina electric brick And le, alumina alumina electric bricks, and high zirconia electric bricks. These electric bricks have a matrix glass phase content of 10% by mass or less and a metal oxide content present as an inevitable impurity of less than 2% by mass.
- Alumina-based electric bricks are electric bricks with a total content of % alumina and / 3 _ alumina of 80% by mass or more.
- High-Zirconia electric bricks contain Zircoyu (ZrO)
- Alumina electric bricks such as hi-alumina electric bricks, hi, / 3_alumina electric bricks and j3—alumina electric bricks all have a matrix glass phase content of 2% by mass or less.
- Specific examples of alumina electric bricks include marsnite (registered trademark) A (manufactured by Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.), Monoflax A (Toshiba Monoflux Co., Ltd.
- the component ratio of the low-matrix glass phase electric brick is low on the electric brick layer 11 provided along the outer wall surface of the hollow tube made of platinum or platinum alloy. 50 vol% or more is an essential configuration, and other configurations are not particularly limited. Therefore, other configurations in the backup structure 1 shown in FIG. 2, that is, the refractory brick layer 12 provided outside the electric brick layer 1 1, and the gap between the refractory brick layer 12 and the decompression housing 101 are provided.
- the amorphous refractory 13 filled in is arbitrarily configured. Therefore, the backup structure of the present invention may be one in which only the electric brick layer is provided along the outer wall surface of the hollow tube made of platinum or platinum alloy.
- the backup structure is composed only of the electric brick layer in terms of cost and heat insulation effect.
- the electric brick layer 1 1 is provided along the outer wall surface of the riser 103 because it is located closest to the riser 103.
- the riser 1 is a component of the backup structure 1
- the layer material provided at a position farther from 03 may be a fired brick that is inferior in heat resistance and corrosion resistance to molten glass compared to the electric brick 11a.
- Electric bricks are more expensive than fired bricks, and if the backup structure consists only of electric bricks, the cost will be very high.
- the heat insulating material 105 is disposed around the vacuum degassing tank 102 in the vacuum housing 101 because the vacuum degassing tank 102 in which the molten glass flows is insulated and kept warm. It is to do. Therefore, the backup structure 1 of the riser tube 103 is also required to have a function of keeping the riser tube 103 insulated.
- the electric regenerator 11a having a dense structure with a low porosity is inferior to a fired brick with a high porosity in terms of heat insulation and heat retention capacity. Therefore, if the backup structure 1 is composed only of the electric brick 11a, it is not preferable for the heat insulation of the rising pipe 103. For example, if the backup structure is made up of only electric bricks that are inferior in heat insulation and heat retention capacity, the backup structure becomes very large due to the large amount of heat dissipation.
- the backup structure of the present invention has an electric brick layer 11 along the outer wall surface of a platinum or platinum alloy hollow tube (rising tube 103) as shown in FIG. It is preferable that a fire-resistant heat insulating material (a fire-resistant rubber layer 12 and an amorphous refractory 13) having better heat insulation efficiency than that of the electric brick is disposed outside the electric brick layer 11.
- a fire-resistant heat insulating material a fire-resistant rubber layer 12 and an amorphous refractory 13
- the heat insulation and heat insulation capacity is enhanced by providing the fire brick layer 12 around the electric brick layer 11 which is inferior in heat insulation and heat insulation capacity.
- the heat insulation and heat insulation capacity is further enhanced by filling the space between the refractory brick layer 12 and the decompression furnace and the Uzing 101 with the irregular refractory 13.
- the cost required for the backup structure 1 can be reduced by using the fireproof brick 12a, which is cheaper than the electric brick 11a, as the fireproof heat insulating material disposed further away from the riser 103. .
- the configuration of the refractory heat insulating material disposed outside the electric brick layer 11 is not limited thereto. However, it is preferable that the molten glass leaked from the riser tube 103 is stopped in the electric brick layer 11 and does not reach the refractory brick layer 12 provided outside the electric brick layer 11. .
- the surface of the electric brick 11a is polished by precisely polishing the surface in contact with the adjacent electric brick, and the brick surface is made almost free of irregularities to improve the sealing performance. It is preferable to make it.
- the temperature of the molten glass decreases while passing through the electric brick layer 11, and is below the devitrification point. Therefore, it is preferable to set the installation range of the electric brick layer 11.
- the electric brick layer 11 may be configured by arranging a plurality of electric bricks 1 la having the same composition or different compositions along the radial direction of the riser 103. .
- the electric brick layer 11 provided along the outer wall surface of the riser pipe 103 and the refractory brick layer 12 provided outside the electric brick layer 11 are arranged along the radial direction of the riser pipe 103. It is preferable that a plurality of bricks having the same composition or different compositions (electric brick 1 la, refractory brick 12a) are provided.
- one brick electric brick lla, refractory brick 12a
- the thickness of the brick in the radial direction of the rising pipe 103 becomes very large. .
- the temperature difference between the inner part and the outer part of the brick increases, and the brick may break.
- a plurality of electric bricks 11 a and refractory bricks 12 a are stacked along the longitudinal direction of the rising pipe 103.
- the electric brick 11a and the refractory brick 12a are connected to the riser pipe. It is preferable that a plurality of electric brick layers 11 and refractory brick layers 12 are formed by stacking a plurality of them along the longitudinal direction of 103.
- the thermal expansion coefficient of platinum or platinum alloy is much higher. For this reason, when the vacuum degassing apparatus 100 shown in FIG. 1 is used and when heat is raised, the riser 103 and the electric brick 11a have a large amount of thermal expansion, particularly in the longitudinal direction of the riser 103. There is a difference.
- the backup structure shown in FIG. 2 has a mechanism that alleviates the influence of the difference in thermal expansion between the rising pipe 103 and the electric brick 11a by dispersing thermal expansion in the longitudinal direction of the rising pipe 103. ing.
- disk-shaped flanges (projections) 106 are provided on the outer periphery of the ascending pipe 103 at intervals along the longitudinal direction of the ascending pipe 103.
- a flange 106 of the riser pipe 103 is sandwiched between the electric bricks 11 a stacked along the longitudinal direction of the riser pipe 103. Since the thermal expansion in the longitudinal direction of the rising pipe 103 is dispersed between the flanges 106, the influence due to the difference in thermal expansion between the rising pipe 103 and the electric brick 11a is mitigated.
- the riser tube 103 When the vacuum degassing apparatus 100 is used, the riser tube 103 also thermally expands in the radial direction. For this reason, the electric brick 11a is arranged at a predetermined interval from the ascending pipe 103 at room temperature. When the depressurization defoaming device 100 is used, the riser tube 103 is thermally expanded in the radial direction, and the outer wall surface of the riser tube 103 is in contact with the electric brick 11a. Take on.

- high alumina bricks include CWS, CWR, CWK, CWU (manufactured by Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.), SP-13, 14, 15 (manufactured by Hinomaru Ceramic Co., Ltd.), and the like.
- Specific examples of clay bricks include RG, CH, TB (manufactured by Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.) and NE ⁇ TEX_34, 37 (manufactured by Yotai Co., Ltd.).
- zircon bricks include ZR and ZM (Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.).
- the irregular refractory 13 that may be filled in the gap between the refractory brick layer 12 and the decompression housing 101 is the one used for the furnace material backup structure.
- castable refractories, plastic refractories, and ramming materials are commonly used for these purposes.
- any of these irregular refractories can be used, and can be appropriately selected according to the characteristics required for the irregular refractory 13.
- a castable refractory, particularly a porous lightweight heat insulation castable is preferable.
