Abstract

The invention relates to a device for steering or stabilising a boat comprising at least one shaped aileron (1) which is submerged and freely pivotable around a pivot axis (2) fixed to the boat and comprises a shaped flap (3) rotatable about a pivot axis substantially parallel to the pivot axis (2), wherein said device is characterised in that at least one aileron (1) or the flap (3) thereof supports a rotor (4) whose axis of rotation (5) is substantially orthogonal to the pivot axis (2) of the aileron (1) and the rotation of the rotor (4) enables the flap (3) to be rotatably driven and oriented with respect to the aileron (1) by means of an auxiliary motion-transmitting mechanism.
