発明の開示
[0009] 上記した各先行技術に開示された合焦情報取得部を、 LCDからなる表示装置を有 し、 AF用の撮像デバイスを別体に有して 、な 、撮像装置に実装するときには LCDの 表示を目的とするサンプリング方式 (ドラフトモード)に従った撮像デバイスの読み出 しを使用しなければならな力つた。

[0012] また、上記した米国特許第 4965840号、米国特許第 5193124号、米国特許第 51482 09号に記載の実施形態によれば、デフォーカス画像を AF時に撮像する場合に、理 想的には、 X-Y方向に等間隔か、稠密なサンプリングを想定している。その後、所定 の演算により、スプレッドパラメータを得る。しかしながら、前述の様なドラフトモードの サンプリングを行うと、水平垂直の方向でナイキスト周波数が異なり、特に、帯域の低 い垂直方向の画像に対して折り返しが起きる。上記先行技術においては、このような 折り返しが生じた場合、スプレッドパラメータの演算の精度が低下するため、何らかの 対策をとらなければならな 、。
[0013] この問題を解決するために、 CCDの複数の画素を加算して読み出す方法が考えら れる。図 15の例では水平 2画素、垂直 2画素の合計 4画素の R信号を加算して、 R信 号を得ている。 G,Bについても同様である。以下これを画素混合読み出しと呼ぶ。こ のような画素混合読み出し方法を使用することによって、サンプリング時にローノ スの 効果が有り、上記の折り返しの問題は低減することが出来る。また水平、垂直方向の 帯域の差を考慮しなくても良い。

発明を実施するための最良の形態

以下、図面を参照して本発明の第 1実施形態を詳細に説明する。図 1は、本発明の 第 1実施形態に係る撮像装置の構成を示す図であり、光学系 1と、撮像デバイス 2と、 合焦点演算処理部 3と、合焦点演算パラメータ記憶部 11と,光学系制御部 6と、制御 系記憶部 7と,駆動部 8と、駆動部状態検出部 9と、レリースボタン 14と、撮像デバイ ス駆動制御部 13と,画像信号処理部 15と、表示部 12と、画像記憶部 16とから構成 される。

信号処理部 15で当該電気信号を処理し、表示部 12に送られる。また、 2.の場合には 、当該電気信号は合焦点演算処理部 3に送られる。また、 3.の場合には、当該電気 信号は画像信号処理部 15で処理された後、画像記憶部 16に送られる。
[0028] レリースボタン 14は、上記 1〜3の間で切り替えを行うためにユーザにより使用され る。撮像デバイス駆動制御部 13は、このレリースボタン 14の動作と連動して、画像表 示を目的としたドラフトモード、 AF演算処理を目的とした AFモード、画像記憶を目的 とした画像記憶 (本撮影)モードで撮像デバイス 2を駆動する。すなわち、レリースボタ ン 14が押され前はドラフトモードが実行され、レリースボタン 14が半押しされたときに は AFモードが実行され、レリースボタン 14が全押しされたときには画像記憶モードが 実行される。本実施形態では、ドラフトモード及び画像記録モードを合焦検出非動作 状態と呼び、 AFモードを合焦検出動作状態と呼ぶ。
[0029] 図 4は、撮像時のレリースボタン 14の状態と、サンプリングモード、フレームタイミン グ、画像データ読み出し、 AF演算処理とのタイミング関係を示すタイミングチャートで ある。撮影指示部としてのレリースボタン 14が押されていない合焦検出非動作状態 でのサンプリングモードは LCD表示モードであり、表示部 12にスルー画像が表示さ れる。ここで、レリースボタン 14が押されると撮影記録指示がなされたことにより撮像 装置は画像記録モードに移行して本撮影を実行することになる。しかしながら、鮮明 な画像を得るためには本撮影に先立ち、光学系を撮影対象の合焦配置に制御する 必要がある。そのため、撮像デバイス駆動制御部 13は画像記録モードに先立って、 撮像デバイス 2が合焦情報取得のためのサンプリング (AFモードサンプリング)モード で動作する様に制御する。
[0030] 本実施形態においては、 AF検出は(文献 1)に示されているようなコントラスト法を 用い、さらに被写体の一部の領域に最適なフォーカスを得る事を想定している。従つ てここでは、図 9に示すように画像の一部の領域 101をサンプリングする。このような サンプリングによれば、ドラフトモードにより画像全体の情報を得る方法に比べて好適 な輝度情報を得ることが出来る。このような一部の領域 101のサンプリングは図 9に示 した一力所のもの以外に複数の領域を読み出す方式でも良い。

山登り法のアルゴリズムを使 、、光学系の配置を変更しフォーカス位置を異ならせな 力 撮影し、被写体の一部の領域に最適なフォーカス位置を推定する。

上記した第 1実施形態の構成では、撮像デバイス 2で撮影した画像をそのまま表示 部 12に表示する構成であつたが、撮像デバイス 2に導かれる光線を分割するための レフミラー la— 2がカメラに取り付けられており、分割された光線を目視で撮影画像を 確認するような構成であってもよい。図 10、図 11はこのような構成を示している。レフ ミラー la— 2はハーフシルバーミラーになっており、光学系 1を透過した光線のうち特 定の割合の光をファインダ光学系 la— 4に導くと共に、残りの光線を撮像デバイス 2 に導く構成となっている。ここで、撮像デバイス 2は合焦検出を目的とした画像の取得 と、記録を目的とした画像の取得の機能を兼用している。このような構成とすることに より、合焦検出を行うためのセンサを別途配置する必要が無くなり省スペース化が達 成できる。
[0033] また、ここでのレリースボタン 14は、合焦情報取得、画像記録の 2種類の状態を制 御するものである。合焦情報の取得のとき、レフミラー la— 2は図 10の Aの状態を保 持し、撮像デバイス 2の前面に配置されたシャッター la— 3は開放され、撮像デバイ ス 2にはレフミラー la— 2を透過した数パーセントの光が照射され、合焦検出用の画 像を取得する。一方、画像記録の場合、レフミラー la— 2は上部に跳ね上げられ、光 学系 1を透過した 100パーセントの光線がシャッター la— 3の開放に伴って撮像デバ イス 2に照射され記録を目的とした画像を取得する。撮像デバイス駆動制御部 13は、 合焦情報取得、画像記録の状態に対応する撮像デバイス 2のモードを制御する。こ の撮像デバイス 2のモードは第 1実施形態で説明した方法と同様である。

以下に、本発明の第 2実施形態について説明する。第 2実施形態の構成は第 1実 施形態の構成と同様なのでここでの説明は省略する。第 2実施形態では、後述する 合焦情報取得部により、少なくとも 2枚の AFモードサンプリングによって得られた輝度 情報によって、 AF演算を行う。 AF演算および駆動部 8により光学系 1を合焦状態に する制御が終了した後、撮像デバイス駆動制御部 13は、撮像デバイス 2に対して画
像の記録を目的としたサンプリング (画像記録モードサンプリング)を行うように指示す る。

[0036] 以下に、図 15の画素混合読みだし動作の詳細について述べる。図 6に示すような 一次元 Bayer画素配列のカラーフィルタアレイでは、水平方向に RGRGRGRGと画素 力 Sあった場合には、サンプリング処理を行う際に同色の信号の加算混合を行わなけ ればならない、すなわち、左端より 1画素目と 3画素目の Rを加算し、次に 2画素目と 4 画素目の Gを加算し、さらに、 5画素目と 7画素目の 6画素目と 8画素目の Gをそれ ぞれ加算する。従って、 2画素混合の読み出し · 1画素横移動 · 2画素読みだし · 3画 素横移動の繰り返しになる。
[0037] 図 7は、 Bayer画素配列の同色 2画素を加算して読み出す機構の一例を示している 。この構成では、各々力 ¾Τ1と FF2からなる複数の FF素子 SR1〜SR6で構成される シフトレジスタ 601を動作させるために、制御信号 HCLK1A(202)及び HCLK1B (20 3)によって 2相の動作を行い、図面の左力も右に信号を伝達させる。信号の初期状 態は STB信号 201で規定する。図示しな!、CMOS素子に光電変換の信号を電荷とし て蓄積するとともに、 CMOS素子力もの読み出しは、シフトレジスタ 601の出力信号に よりトランジスタを動作させ、蓄積した電荷を電流値に変換し読み出す。ここで、 STB 信号 201は FF素子 SR1,SR3の入力端に信号を送っている。
[0038] 図 8は、図 7の動作状態を示すタイムチャートである。図 8に示すように、制御信号 H CLK1A(202)及び HCLK1B (203)を 1回ずつ動作させれば、 SR1の信号は次段の S R2に入力される。図 7の SR1,SR2を動作させたときに SR3,SR4も動作するので、この SR 3,SR4を飛び越して SR5を動作させる様にすれば良い。そのため、ここでは SRの出力 信号とスィッチパルスによって、離れた位置の SRの信号が有効になるように制御する 。具体的には、図 7の FF4の入力と、 HCLK3が共に 'H'の場合に、 FF4の出力が 'Η' になるように制御する。従って動作の順番としては、 SR1、 SR3の出力力 'H'→CMOSl ,3からの読み出し→SR2,SR4の出力力 'H,→CMOS2,4からの読み出し、 SR2の出力
→SR5の 2段目 FF入力→SR4の出力→SR7の 2段目の FF入力→SR5,7の出力が 'H' →CMOS5,7からの読み出し…となる。以上のシーケンスを駆動パルス列で表すと図 8 の様になる。

[0047] また、光学系 1は複数のレンズ群、たとえばズームレンズやフォーカスレンズ、絞り、 光学フィルタなどによって構成される。合焦点演算処理部 3は演算処理を行うマイク 口プロセッサであり、処理に応じて複数存在しても良く ASICや FPGAなどを用いて実 現することができる。光学系制御部 6は駆動部 8の駆動用回路や制御を行うための演 算処理部を備えている。駆動部 8は電磁モータ、圧電素子、超音波駆動型モータな どによって構成される。また、駆動部状態検出部 9は駆動部 8の速度、角速度、位置、 温度、圧力、光量などを検出するセンサで、ジャイロセンサ、エンコーダ、加速度計、 温度計、圧力計、光量を測定する受光素子などによって構成される。また、合焦点演 算処理部 3は、好ましくは、上記の様なスプレッドパラメータ演算による方法が良いが 、その他に、特開 2005— 10515号公報に示すようなコントラストを検出する方法で 有っても良い。

部 13は撮像デバイス 2が合焦情報取得のためのサンプリング (AFモードサンプリング )で動作する様に制御する。 AFモードサンプリングは、レリースボタン 14が全押し状 態になるまで継続し、レリースボタン 14が全押し状態で、なおかつ AF演算および駆 動部 8を光学系 1が合焦状態にする制御が終了した後、撮像デバイス駆動制御部 13 は撮像デバイス 2に対して画像の記録を目的としたサンプリング (画像記録モードサ ンプリング)を行うように指示する。
産業上の利用可能性
本発明によれば、合焦点情報を得るための撮像デバイスを用いた輝度情報取得に おいて局所的なコントラストを得ることができ、かつ、折り返しの低減と撮像デバイスの サンプリングにおける消費電力の低減とを達成することができる。

前記対応する領域の輝度情報力もスプレッドパラメータを算出するスプレッドパラメ ータ算出部と、
前記スプレッドパラメータと、前記対象物に合焦した画像を得るための前記制御部 への指令値とを関連付ける関連付け部と、を有する請求項 1乃至 8のいずれか 1つに 記載の撮像装置。
