Abstract
The invention relates to a device for drying veneers, wherein the latter are conveyed between two belts. Generic dryers are problematic in that the veneers are not reliably transported from a drying device to a downstream cooling device, a reason being, e.g., that the veneers partially warp at an angle to the grain and therefore fall through during transition from a lower conveyor belt to a lower cooling belt. The aim of the invention is therefore to provide a reliable further transport during transition. For this purpose, in an area between the drying device (1) and the cooling device (2), a topmost of the belts (6.2, 9.2) of the one transport device is guided at a small vertical distance across a lowest of the belts (6.1, 9.1) of the other transport device and a suction box (10) with a downward effect is mounted in said area, directly above a lower strand of the upper belt (6.2, 9.2) of the one transport device.
Description
Furniertrockner veneer dryer
The invention relates to a device for drying veneers according to the preamble of claim 1.
Sliced veneers tend to deform during drying due to different degrees of shrinkage. To avoid this, the veneer dryers have so-called ironing zones, in which the veneers are smoothed as far as possible. It can not always be avoided that the veneers are curved in particular transversely to the fiber direction.
From EP 192 207 B1, a dryer for sliced veneers is known in which the veneers are dried between two conveyor belts, first in a part with a straight guide and then in a part with a loop-shaped guide of the conveyor belts. The dryer is subdivided into dry fields, which, individually or in combination, can form drying zones with the required dry climate. The drying fields are followed by a cooling device with separate conveyor belts, in which the veneers are transported largely in a straight line, that is without deflections. For the transfer of the veneers from the drying device to the cooling device, it is known to use brush rollers to transport the veneers from the first to the second transport device.
The known devices have the disadvantage that again and again - especially curved - veneers are not transported at the transition between the first and the second transport device and fall through down. These fallen veneers must be removed regularly and are no longer useful.
The object of the invention is to provide a device for drying veneers, in which the veneers are transported safely from the first to the second transport device. The object is solved by the features of claim 1. Characterized in that in an area between the drying device and the cooling device, an upper of the bands of a transport device with a small vertical distance is guided over a lower of the bands of the other transport device and that in the area immediately above a lower strand of the upper band of a transport device down is arranged, the veneers are removed in the critical area between the transport devices through the upper belt of a lower conveyor belt and placed on a lower cooling belt. Here, the veneers are safe through kept the negative pressure of the suction box on the upper band, so that falling through of veneers is largely avoided. This accordingly increases the productivity of the apparatus for drying and reduces the labor because no veneers need to be removed from the area between the first and second transport devices and disposed of.
The upper band is either an upper conveyor belt or an upper cooling belt. The subclaims relate to the advantageous embodiment of the invention.
When the upper cooling belt is passed over the lower conveyor belt, the upper conveyor belt is guided over a shorter distance from the drying device, so that it cools less and thus saves energy.
A cross-flow fan has proved to be particularly advantageous for the generation of the negative pressure in the suction box.
Die einzige Figur zeigt einen Längsschnitt durch einen Teil einer, er- findungsgemäße VorrichtungThe invention will be further explained with reference to the embodiment shown schematically in the drawing. The single FIGURE shows a longitudinal section through a part of a device according to the invention
As shown in the figure, a device for drying comprises a drying device 1 and a cooling device 2.
The drying device 1 is constructed like a box from a plurality of fields 3 and surrounded by a first housing 4. " A first drivable transport device for veneers 7 is guided by the drying device 1 in such a way that it passes through the fields 3 one after the other in the general transport direction according to arrow 5. The first transport device comprises a lower and an upper conveyor belt 6.1, 6.2, which are endless, one above the other and between which the veneers 7 can be conveyed from an inlet to a dryer outlet An upper run of the lower conveyor belt 6.1 protrudes approximately horizontally out of the first housing 4 at the entrance and at the dryer outlet returned separately to the entrance.
Each panel 3 is associated with means for inflating treatment gas onto the veneers.
The cooling device 2 is constructed from at least one field 3, which is surrounded by a second housing 8, and a second transport device. This comprises a lower and an upper cooling belt 9.1, 9.2, which are endless, one above the other and between which the veneers are conveyed from a radiator inlet to an outlet. The cooling belts 9.1, 9.2 are guided from the radiator inlet to the outlet so that an upper run of the lower cooling belt 9.1 protrudes horizontally from the second housing 8 at the radiator inlet and at the outlet for a certain distance. At the exit, the two cooling belts 9.1, 9.2 are returned separately to the radiator inlet. The lower conveyor belt 6.1 and the lower cooling belt 9.1 are guided between the dryer outlet and the radiator inlet in a substantially horizontal plane and as close as possible to each other deflected to facilitate a transfer from the lower conveyor belt 6.1 to the lower cooling belt 9.1. In this case, the upper cooling belt 9.2 protrudes in the area between the dryer outlet and the radiator inlet from the second housing 8 in the direction of the drying device 1 so that a lower run of the upper cooling belt 9.2 is largely parallel to the upper runs of the lower belts 6.1, 9.1 and for a specific one Distance to over the upper run of the lower conveyor belt 6.1 runs. This means that the upper cooling belt 9.2 bridges a gap between the lower conveyor belt 6.1 and the lower cooling belt 9.1. In a region above the gap, a suction box 10 is arranged directly above the lower run of the upper cooling belt 9.2, which extends in its length over the width of the upper cooling belt 9.2. The width of the suction box 10 is dimensioned so that it covers at least the vertices of the deflections of the lower bands 6.1, 9.1. Between the suction box 10 and the upper cooling belt 9.2 sealing strips 11 are arranged. In the suction box 10, a cross-flow fan 12 is attached so as to extend over the length thereof. The cross-flow fan 12 is coupled to a drive.
The conveyor belts 6.1, 6.2 and the cooling belts 9.1, 9.2 are e.g. designed as a screen belts, preferably as wide-spiral wire link belts.
In the cooling device 2, means for blowing treatment gas are arranged, comprising at least one fan and channels for conducting the treatment gas.
In operation, the veneers 7, which are sheet-shaped with a thickness of e.g. 0.2 to 4.0 mm are cut from a block of wood, given at the entrance one behind the other on the upper run of the driven lower conveyor belt 6.1. Here, the veneers 7 are largely flat on the lower conveyor belt 6.1. Once the veneers 7 enter the housing 4, they are covered by the driven upper conveyor belt 6.2 and pressed flat due to its own weight on the lower conveyor belt 6.1.
The drying takes place in the drying apparatus 2 as known. In the cooling device 2, the cooling belts 9.1, 9.2 are driven. The speed of the cooling belts 9.1, 9.2 corresponds at least to the speed of the conveyor belts 6.1, 6.2. The cooling is done as known. At the exit, the veneers 7 are removed from the lower cooling belt 9.1 and stacked. Between the drying device 1 and the cooling device 2, the veneers 7 are transferred from the lower conveyor belt 6.1 to the lower cooling belt 9.1. For this purpose, the Veneiere.7 be promoted on the upper run of the lower conveyor belt 6.1 until they reach the effective range of the negative pressure generated by the driven cross-flow fan 12 in the suction box 10. This negative pressure sucks the veneers 7 one after the other against the underside of the upper cooling belt 9.2, the veneers 7 on the underside being adhesively conveyed further in the direction of the cooling device 2. Here, the veneers 7 are held smoothly on the upper cooling belt 9.2, whereby the transport is particularly safe. As soon as the veneers 7 leave the area of action of the negative pressure, they are, as is known, transported further between the cooling belts 9.1, 9.2 and treated.
