本発明で用いられる(B-1)有機金属化合物として、具体的には特開 2004-00264 0号公報記載の周期表第 1、 2族および第 12、 13族の有機金属化合物が用いられる

本発明で用いられる(B-2)有機アルミニウムォキシィ匕合物として、従来公知のアル ミノキサンであってもよぐまた特開平 2-78687号公報に例示されているようなベンゼ ン不溶性の有機アルミニウムォキシィ匕合物であってもよい。

本発明で用いられる遷移金属化合物 (A)と反応してイオン対を形成する化合物 (B -3) (以下、「イオン化イオン性ィ匕合物」という。)としては、特開平 1-501950号公報、 特開平 1-502036号公報、特開平 3- 179005号公報、特開平 3- 179006号公報、 特開平 3-207703号公報、特開平 3-207704号公報、 USP-5321106号公報など に記載されたルイス酸、イオン性化合物、ボランィ匕合物およびカルボランィ匕合物など を挙げることができる。さらに、ヘテロポリ化合物およびイソポリ化合物も挙げることが できる。

本発明に係る遷移金属化合物を触媒とする場合、助触媒成分としてのメチルアルミ ノキサンなどの有機アルミニウムォキシ化合物(B-2)とを併用すると、ォレフィンィ匕合 物に対して非常に高い重合活性を示す。また助触媒成分としてトリフエ-ルカルポ- ゥムテトラキス(ペンタフルォロフエ-ル)ボレートなどのイオン化イオン性化合物(B-3 )を用いると良好な活性で非常に分子量の高 、ォレフイン重合体が得られる。
[0020] 本発明に係るォレフィンブロック共重合体の重合に用いるォレフィン重合触媒は (A )前記 (I)で表される遷移金属化合物を単独で用いても良 、し、

この式で金属 Mと Yの結合は共有結合して 、ても良 、し、イオン結合して 、ても良 い。式中の!^〜 、 M、 m、 n、 Xの具体例は(I)と同じであり、 Yの例としては、 Che mical Review誌 88卷 1405ページ(1988年)、 Chemical Review誌 93卷 927ぺ ージ(1993年)、 WO98Z30612号公報 6ページに記載の弱配位性ァ-オンが挙 げられる。
[0023] また、本発明に係るォレフィン重合用触媒は、上記遷移金属化合物 (A)と、 (B-1)
有機金属化合物、(B- 2)有機アルミニウムォキシィ匕合物、および (B- 3)イオン化ィォ ン性ィ匕合物力 選ばれる少なくとも 1種の化合物(B)とともに、必要に応じて後述する ような担体 (C)を用いることもできる。
[ (C) 担体 ]
本発明で用いられる (C)担体は、無機または有機の化合物であって、顆粒状ないし は微粒子状の固体である。

本発明に係るォレフィンブロック共重合体の重合に用いるォレフィン重合用触媒は 、上記遷移金属化合物 (A)と、(B-1)有機金属化合物、(B-2)有機アルミニウムォ キシィ匕合物、および (B- 3)イオン化イオン性ィ匕合物から選ばれる少なくとも 1種の化 合物 (B)、必要に応じて担体 (C)と共に、必要に応じて後述するような特定の有機化 合物成分 (D)を含むこともできる。
[0025] [ (D) 有機化合物成分 ]
本発明において、(D)有機化合物成分は、必要に応じて、重合性能および生成ポ リマーの物性を向上させる目的で使用される。このような有機化合物としては、アルコ ール類、フエノール性化合物、カルボン酸、リン化合物およびスルホン酸塩等が挙げ られるが、この限りではない。
[0026] 具体的には、特開 2004-002640号公報記載の有機化合物が挙げられる。
重合の際には、各成分の使用法、添加順序は任意に選ばれるが、以下のような方 法が例示される。
(1) 成分 (A)および成分 (B)を任意の順序で重合器に添加する方法。
(2) 成分 (A)を担体 (C)に担持した触媒成分、成分 (B)を任意の順序で重合器に 添加する方法。
(3) 成分 (B)を担体 (C)に担持した触媒成分、成分 (A)を任意の順序で重合器に 添加する方法。
(4) 成分 (A)と成分 (B)とを担体 (C)に担持した触媒成分を重合器に添加する方 法。
[0027] 上記の各方法においては、各触媒成分の少なくとも 2つ以上は予め接触されてい てもよい。

[0028] また、上記の成分 (C)に成分 (A)が担持された固体触媒成分、成分 (C)に成分 (A )および成分 (B)が担持された固体触媒成分は、ォレフィンが予備重合されて ヽても よぐ予備重合された固体触媒成分上に、さらに、触媒成分が担持されていてもよい 本発明に係るォレフィンブロック共重合体は、上記のようなォレフィン重合用触媒の 存在下に、(a)エチレン力 得られる重合体ブロックの重合、次いで、(b)エチレンと、 炭素原子数 4〜50の α -ォレフインカ 得られるランダム共重合体ブロックの共重合 をすることにより得られる。
[0029] また、本発明に係るォレフィンブロック共重合体の重合は、(b)エチレンと、炭素原 子数 4〜50の α -ォレフィンから得られるランダム共重合体ブロック、次いで、(a)ェ チレン力 得られる重合体ブロックの重合、次いで、(b)エチレンと、炭素原子数 4〜 50の α -ォレフインカも得られるランダム共重合体ブロックの共重合の順番で実施し てもよい。
[0030] 本発明では、重合は溶解重合、懸濁重合などの液相重合法または気相重合法の V、ずれにお 、ても実施できる。
液相重合法において用いられる不活性炭化水素媒体として具体的には、特開 200 4-002640号公報記載の溶媒を挙げることができ、ォレフィン自身を溶媒として用い ることちでさる。
[0031] 上記のようなォレフィン重合用触媒を用いて、ォレフィンの重合を行うに際し、各成 分の比率、重合温度、重合圧力は特開 2004-002640号公報記載の範囲にするこ とが可能である。
また、このようなォレフィン重合用触媒を用いたォレフィンの重合反応は、特開 200 4-002640号公報記載の方法においても行うことができる。
[0032] 以下、実施例に基づいて本発明をさらに具体的に説明するが、本発明はこれら実 施例に限定されるものではない。
なお、本実施例において、得られた (共)重合体の Mn (数平均分子量)および Mw ZMn (分子量分布)は、 GPC (ゲルパーミエーシヨンクロマトグラフィー)を用い、オル トジクロ口ベンゼン溶媒で、 140°Cで測定した。得られた (共)重合体の分子量は、ポ リスチレン換算の分子量をユニバーサル法によりポリエチレン換算値に変換した。
[0033] 得られた共重合体の 1-へキセン含量は 1H- NMR ( 1 , 1 , 2, 2-テトラクロロェタン- d2溶媒、 120°Cにて測定)により観測されたメチルシグナル(S O. 93ppm)メチレン およびメチンシグナル( δ 1. 30ppm)との面積比より算出した。
また、得られた共重合体などの引っ張り試験は、 ASTM D882- 97に準拠し、 23 。C、 50RH%の条件下、引っ張り速度 50mmZminにて行った。
[0034] [製造例 1]
充分に窒素置換した内容積 500mlのガラス製オートクレーブにトルエン 250mlを 入れ、ー且液相および気相をエチレンで飽和し、次いで気相のみを窒素置換した。 メチルアルミノキサンをアルミニウム原子換算で 2. 5mmol、引き続き、チタンィ匕合物( 1) (合成例は特開 2004- 002640号公報に記載)を 0. 02mmolをカ卩ぇ重合を開始 した。 25°Cで 5分間反応させ完全に消費した後に、 1-へキセン 10mlを加え、ェチレ ンガス(50リットル Zh)を吹き込みながら 5分間反応させた。少量のメタノールをカロえ て反応を停止し、少量の塩酸を含むメタノール 1リットルに反応物をカ卩えて共重合体 を析出させた。共重合体を濾過しメタノールで洗浄後、 130°Cにて 10時間減圧乾燥 してブロック共重合体(2) 2. 193gを得た。得られた共重合体の Mn (数平均分子量) は 80, 000であり、 MwZMn (分子量分布)は 1. 26であり、 1H- NMRで測定した 1 -へキセン含量は 4. 3モル%であった。分子量および全共重合体中の 1-へキセン含 量力 計算した第二ブロック成分 (エチレン' 1-へキセン共重合体部分)の 1-へキセ ン含量は 8. 3モル%であった。
[0036] [製造例 2]
充分に窒素置換した内容積 500mlのガラス製オートクレーブにトルエン 250mlを 装入し、液相および気相をエチレンで飽和させた。その後、メチルアルミノキサンをァ ルミ-ゥム原子換算で 1. 25mmol、引き続き、チタン化合物(1)を 0. O05mmol加え 重合を開始した。常圧のエチレンガス雰囲気下、 25°Cで 1分間反応させた後、少量 のメタノールを添加することにより重合を停止した。重合終了後、反応物を大量のメタ ノールに投入してポリマーを全量析出後、塩酸をカ卩えてグラスフィルターで濾過した 。ポリマーを 80°C、 10時間で減圧乾燥した後、ポリエチレン(3)を 0. 471g得た。チ タン lmmol当たりの重合活性は 5. 7kgZhrであった。得られたポリエチレン(3)の 重量平均分子量(Mw)は 75, 000であり、 MwZMn (分子量分布)は 1. 16であつ た。
[0037] 充分に窒素置換した内容積 500mlのガラス製オートクレーブにトルエン 250mlおよ び 1-へキセン 10mlを入れた。メチルアルミノキサンをアルミニウム原子換算で 2. 5m mol、引き続き、チタン化合物(1)を 0. 02mmolをカ卩えた後にエチレンガス(50リット ル Zh)を吹き込みながら 5分間反応させた。少量のメタノールをカ卩えて反応を停止し 、少量の塩酸を含むメタノール 1リットルに反応物を加えて共重合体を析出させた。共 重合体を濾過しメタノールで洗浄後、 80°Cにて 10時間減圧乾燥してランダム共重合 体 (4) 2. 353gを得た。得られたランダム共重合体 (4)の Mn (数平均分子量)は 78,
000であり、 MwZMn (分子量分布)は 1. 10であり、 1H- NMRで測定した 1-へキ セン含量は 7. 2モル%であった。
[0038] 充分に窒素置換した内容積 200mlのガラス製フラスコにトルエン 50ml、ポリエチレ ン(3)およびランダム共重合体 (4)各 0. lgを入れ、各重合体を溶解させるために 2 時間環流した。 25°Cのメタノール 1リットルに溶液を加えて急冷し、ポリエチレン(3) およびランダム共重合体 (4)の混合物(5)を析出させた。混合物(5)を濾過しメタノ ールで洗浄後、 80°Cにて 10時間減圧乾燥して混合物(5)を定量的に得た。

充分に窒素置換した内容積 500mlのガラス製オートクレーブにトルエン 250mlおよ び 1-へキセン 5mlを入れた。メチルアルミノキサンをアルミニウム原子換算で 2. 5m mol、引き続き、チタン化合物(1)を 0. 02mmolをカ卩えた後にエチレンガス(50リット ル Zh)を吹き込みながら 5分間反応させた。少量のメタノールをカ卩えて反応を停止し 、少量の塩酸を含むメタノール 1リットルに反応物を加えて共重合体を析出させた。共 重合体を濾過しメタノールで洗浄後、 80°Cにて 10時間減圧乾燥してランダム共重合 体 (6) 2. 157gを得た。得られたランダム共重合体 (6)の Mn (数平均分子量)は 81, 000であり、 MwZMn (分子量分布)は 1. 11であり、 1H- NMRで測定した 1-へキ セン含量は 5. 4モル%であった。

製造例 1で得られたブロック共重合体(2)を加熱プレス機(180°C、 l lMPa、 1分) により膜圧 0. 1mmのフィルムとし、 23°C、 50%RHの条件下に 1日養生後、長さ 30 mm、幅 5mmのダンベル型に打ち抜いたものを試験片として引っ張り試験を行った。 弾性率は 119MPa、降伏応力は 7. 6MPa、降伏時の伸び率は 14%、破断応力は 2 6MPa、破断時の伸び率は 488%であった。引っ張り試験結果を (表 1)に示す。

本発明のフィルム、または、シートは、引っ張り強度、伸び、耐ブロッキング性、透明 性、折り割れ性、およびヒートシール性等に優れるという特徴を持つ。従って、本発明 のフィルム、または、シートは、紙や布などへのラミネート材、包装材、保護マット、書 籍などの保護カバーを製造する分野にぉレ、て、多大な産業上の貢献を行うことが期 待される。
Claims
[1] ォレフィンブロック共重合体から得られる、厚み 50〜200 μ mのフィルムまたはシート であって、気温 23°C、湿度 50%、引っ張り速度 50mmZ分の条件下で測定した破 断応力が 20MPa以上かつ破断時の伸び率が 450%以上であることを特徴とするフ イルムまたはシート。
[2] ォレフィンブロック共重合体の重合体ブロックが、(a)エチレン力 得られる重合体ブ ロック、および(b)エチレンと、炭素原子数 4〜50の α -ォレフィンから得られるランダ ム共重合体ブロックであることを特徴とする、請求項 1に記載のォレフィンブロック共 重合体力 得られるフィルムまたはシート。
