Abstract

 筒状部材に装着する際に回転の硬さを容易に調整でき、装着するための構成を小型化できる合成樹脂製のコネクタを提供する。  合成樹脂からなり、螺条7が形成されたロック筒5と、ロック筒5の後端部から後方に延在する円筒状の接続部材6と、弾性部材保持部8とを備え、弾性部材9を筒状部材3に形成されたフランジ部11の前面に押圧した状態で筒状部材3に回転自在に装着される。接続部材6は、フランジ部11の背面にかしめ止めされている。筒状部材3に接続されるルアーテーパー部4を備え、ロック筒5は、ルアーテーパー部4の軸方向に沿って延在している。弾性部材9はOリングである。接続部材6は、回転自在に軸支されたローラ12が回転しながら所定の加圧力で所定の時間継続して押圧されて、フランジ部11に外嵌された先端部が応力破壊に至らない範囲で筒状部材3側に座屈変形せしめられ、フランジ部11にかしめ止めされる。

技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、シリンジのバレル先端の筒先部や、複数の三方活栓を備える接続部材 等の筒状部材の端部に回転自在に装着されて、他の部材との接続に用いられる合 成榭脂製のコネクタに関するものである。
背景技術
[0002] 従来、筒状部材の端部に回転自在に装着されて、医療行為に用いられる部材同士 を接続するコネクタが知られている。前記コネクタとして、例えば図 4に示すように、バ レル 42先端に形成された筒先部 43に回転自在に装着されるコネクタ 41がある。
[0003] 前記コネクタ 41は、合成樹脂からなり、バレル 42の筒先部 43に接続されるルアー テーパー部 44と、ルアーテーパー部 44の軸方向に沿って延在するロック筒 45とを 備えている。ロック筒 45は、後端部力もバレル 42方向に延在する接続部材 46を備え ており、内周面には螺条 47が形成されている。そして、コネクタ 41は、ロック筒 45の 後端部と、筒先部 43に設けられたフランジ部 47との間に Oリング 48を挟持した状態 で、前記接続部材 46の先端部が、フランジ部 47の背面側に回転自在に装着された 合成樹脂製の袋ナット状部材 49の先端部に接着されることにより、筒先部 43に回転 自在に装着されている。前記接着は、溶剤等の接着剤による方法、または超音波溶 着、高周波誘導加熱溶着等の方法により行うことができる。
[0004] 前記従来コネクタ 41は、バレル 42と、該バレル 42に接続される複数の三方活栓を 備える接続部材等の他部材とを、互いに回転させることなく静止させたまま、コネクタ 41自体を回転させることにより、容易に接続することができる。
[0005] ところで、前記コネクタ 41は、使用者によって回転させやすさに対する好みが異なり 、袋ナット状部材 49のフランジ部 47に対する係合が弱く容易に回転できることを好む 者から、前記係合が強く回転が硬いことを好む者まで様々である。前記袋ナット状部 材 49のフランジ部 47に対する係合の強さは、両者に挟持される Oリング 48の弹発カ により調整することができる。 [0006] し力しながら、前記従来のコネクタ 41では、接続部材 46を袋ナット状部材 49と接着 して 、るので、 Oリング 48の弹発カによる回転の硬さを調整することが難 、と 、ぅ不 都合がある。また、前記従来のコネクタ 41では、接続部材 46と袋ナット状部材 49とを 接着しているので、前記筒先部 43に装着するための構成が大型化せざるを得ないと いう不都合がある。
[0007] さらに、接続部材 46を袋ナット状部材 49と接着する際に、溶剤等の接着剤による 場合には接着部に気泡が生じやすいため輸液回路に対する気泡の混入を視認しに くくなる、超音波溶着の場合にはォレフイン系榭脂には適用が難しい、高周波誘導加 熱溶着の場合には熱間加工となり冷却工程を必要とするためエネルギー効率が低く なる、等の不都合がある。
発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0008] 本発明は、力かる不都合を解消して、筒状部材に装着する際に接着によらずに装 着することができ、回転の硬さの調整を容易に行うことができて、し力も装着するため の構成を小型化することができる合成樹脂製のコネクタを提供することを目的とする。 課題を解決するための手段
[0009] かかる目的を達成するために、本発明のコネクタは、合成樹脂からなり、内周面に 螺条が形成されたロック筒と、該ロック筒の後端部から後方に延在する円筒状の接続 部材と、該接続部材の内周側に設けられた弾性部材保持部とを備え、該弾性部材保 持部に保持された弾性部材を筒状部材に形成されたフランジ部の前面に押圧した 状態で該筒状部材に回転自在に装着されるコネクタにおいて、該接続部材は、該フ ランジ部の背面に力しめ止めされて該筒状部材に回転自在に装着されていることを 特徴とする。
[0010] 本発明のコネクタでは、弾性部材保持部に保持された弾性部材を筒状部材のフラ ンジ部の前面に押圧した状態で、ロック筒の後端部力 後方に延在する円筒状の接 続部材が、該フランジ部に装着され、該フランジの背面に回転自在に力しめ止めされ ている。従って、力しめ止めの程度を変えることにより、弾性部材の弹発力の調整が 容易であり、回転の硬さ(回転させやすさ)を製造時に容易に調整することができる。 [0011] また、本発明のコネクタによれば、前記接続部材が前記フランジ部の背面に力しめ 止めされ、該接続部材を袋ナット状部材と接着する必要がないので、全体の構成を 小型化することができる。
[0012] さらに、本発明のコネクタによれば、前記筒状部材に接着によらずに装着すること ができるので、該筒状部材の内部の視認が容易であり、材料が接着に適したものに 限定されることがなぐし力も冷間工程であるのでエネルギー的にも有利である。
[0013] 本発明のコネクタは、前記筒状部材に接続されるルアーテーパー部を備え、前記口 ック筒は、該ルアーテーパー部の軸方向に沿って延在していることが好ましい。本発 明のコネクタは、このような構成を備えることにより、他の部材の端部が前記ロック筒の 内周面に形成された螺条に螺合されたときに、前記ルアーテーパー部が他の部材の 端部に挿入されることとなり好都合である。
[0014] 本発明のコネクタにおいて、前記弾性部材としては、例えば Oリングを用いることが できる。
[0015] ところで、一般に、熱可塑性榭脂の射出成形体等の合成樹脂製部材は、溶融化状 態の樹脂が射出されて金型内で所定形状に凝固した後は、その形状を維持しようと する性質がある。従って、前記合成樹脂製部材に応力を加えて変形させても、応力 が取り去られると直ちに、あるいは経時的に原形に復帰する。また、一応変形してい ても、変形後に加熱されると、原形に復帰することがある。一方、前記合成樹脂製部 材を不可逆的に変形させようとすると、クラックを生じて応力破壊に至ってしまう。
[0016] しかし、合成樹脂によっては、応力を加えたときに、まず座屈変形を起こし、次いで クラックを起こして応力破壊に至るものが存在することが知られており、本出願人は、 このような合成樹脂の座屈変形を利用して一方の部材を他方の部材に接続する方 法について既に特許出願している(日本国特開 2001— 105502参照)。
[0017] 前記合成樹脂においては、前記座屈変形は、塑性変形であり、熱を加えても原形 に復帰することはなぐし力も前記座屈変形した部分は応力破壊には至っていないの で、他部材と係合するに十分な強度を備えている。
[0018] そこで、本発明のコネクタは、前記接続部材が、前記フランジ部に外嵌され、該接 続部材の先端を応力破壊に至らない範囲で前記筒状部材側に座屈変形せしめ、座 屈変形した該接続部材の先端により該フランジ部に力しめ止めされていることを特徴 とする。前記接続部材は、回転自在に軸支されたローラが回転しながら所定の加圧 力で所定の時間継続して先端に押圧されることにより座屈変形される。
[0019] 前記座屈変形可能な合成樹脂としては、ォレフィン系榭脂、アクリロニトリル ブタジ ェンースチレン共重合榭脂、ポリスチレン、スチレンコポリマー、アクリル榭脂、ポリ力 ーボネート、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリメチルメタタリレート、ポリアミド、ポリアセタール、ポリ エチレンテレフタレート、フッ素榭脂、熱可塑性ポリウレタン力もなる群力も選択される 1種の榭脂を挙げることができる。
[0020] 本発明のコネクタが装着される前記筒状部材としては、複数の三方活栓を備える接 続部材であってもよぐシリンジのバレル先端に形成された筒先部であってもよい。前 記筒状部材が前記バレル先端に形成された筒先部である場合、該筒先部は前記コ ネクタを介して、注射針の針元や、複数の三方活栓を備える接続部材等の他の部材 と接続することがでさる。
発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0021] 次に、添付の図面を参照しながら本発明の実施の形態についてさらに詳しく説明 する。図 1は本実施形態のコネクタの構成を示す説明的断面図、図 2, 3は本実施形 態のコネクタの装着方法を示す説明的断面図である。
[0022] 図 1に示すように、本実施形態のコネクタ 1は、ポリカーボネートからなり、バレル 2先 端に形成された筒先部 3に回転自在に装着されている。コネクタ 1は、筒先部 3に接 続されるルアーテーパー部 4と、ルアーテーパー部 4の軸方向に沿って延在するロッ ク筒 5と、ロック筒 5の後端部力も後方 (バレル 2方向)に延在する円筒状の接続部材 6とを備えている。ロック筒 5の内周面には螺条 7が形成されており、接続部材 6の内 周側には弾性部材保持部 8が設けられている。
[0023] 弾性部材保持部 8は、ルアーテーパー部 4とロック筒 5とを互いの後端部で接続す る形となっており、ルアーテーパー部 4、ロック筒 5とは反対側のバレル 2側に弾性部 材としての Oリング 9が嵌着されて保持される。また、弾性部材保持部 8の内周側には 、バレル 2の筒先部 3が収容されて、ルアーテーパー部 4に収容される筒先収容部 1 0が形成されている。 [0024] バレル 2の筒先部 3には、外周側に突出するフランジ部 11が形成されている。そし て、コネクタ 1は、弾性部材保持部 8に保持された Oリング 9が弾性部材保持部 8とフ ランジ部 11の前面との間で押圧された状態で、フランジ部 11に外嵌された接続部材 6の先端部 6aがフランジ部 11の背面側に力しめ止めされて、筒先部 3に回転自在に 装着されている。
[0025] コネクタ 1をバレル 2の筒先部 3に装着するときには、図 2に示すように、まず、 Oリン グ 9をコネクタ 1の弾性部材保持部 8に嵌着して保持させ、次 、で Oリング 9を保持し ているコネクタ 1を筒先部 3に装着する。
[0026] この結果、図 3に示すように、筒先部 3はコネクタ 1の筒先収容部 10に挿入され、弹 性部材保持部 8に保持された Oリング 9はフランジ部 11の前面に押圧され、弾性部材 保持部 8とフランジ部 11とにより挟持される。また、接続部材 6はフランジ部 11に外嵌 され、接続部材 6の肉薄の先端部 6aがフランジ部 11の後方に突出せしめられる。
[0027] そこで、次に、フランジ部 11の後方に突出した先端部 6aに、回転ローラ 12を押圧 する。図 3において、回転ローラ 12はコネクタ 1の軸方向と平行に備えられたエアシリ ンダ(図示せず)等により、先端部 6aに押圧される。ここで、回転ローラ 12は前記エア シリンダ等に同軸に軸支されて回転自在となっており、コネクタ 1を軸周りに回転させ ることにより、コネクタ 1と供回りしながら先端部 6aに押圧される。また、回転ローラ 12 は先端にテーパー部 12aが形成されており、テーパー部 12aが先端部 6aに当接しな がら押圧する。この結果、回転ローラ 12は、接続部材 6の先端部 6aに均一に応力を 付加して、応力破壊に至らな 、範囲で座屈変形せしめることができる。
[0028] 本実施形態では、例えば、厚さ 1. 2mmの先端部 6aに対して回転ローラ 12を 0. 4 一 0. 6MPaで押圧しながら、コネクタ 1を軸周りに 12— 200rpmで回転させることに より、約 1. 2秒で接続部材 6の先端部 6aを筒先部 3側に座屈変形せしめることができ る。このとき、前記座屈変形の条件を適切に選択することにより、 Oリング 9の弹発カ を調整することができ、先端部 6aのフランジ部 11に対する係合の強さを容易に調整 することができる。
[0029] コネクタ 1によれば、接続部材 6の先端部 6aがフランジ部 11にかしめ止めされるの で、筒先部 3に装着するために他の部材を必要とせず、装着のための構成を小型化 することができる。
[0030] また、コネクタ 1によれば、例えば、バレル 2と複数の三方活栓(図示せず)を備える 接続部材 13とを接続する場合には、まず、図 1に示すように、接続部材 13の端部に 形成されたフランジ部 13aをロック筒 5の内周側に挿入する。そして、バレル 2と接続 部材 13とを静止させたまま、コネクタ 1を回転させること〖こより、接続部材 13のフラン ジ部 13aをロック筒 5の内周面に形成された螺条 7に螺合させて、バレル 2と接続部材 13とを接続することができる。
[0031] このとき、コネクタ 1は前述のように接続部材 6の先端部 6aがフランジ部 11の背面側 にかしめ止めされる際に、 Oリング 9の弹発力が調整されているので、使用者の所望 の硬さで回転させることができる。
[0032] 尚、本実施形態では、コネクタ 1がバレル 2の筒先部 3に装着される場合について 説明しているが、コネクタ 1は複数の三方活栓を備える接続部材等、他の筒状部材に 装着されるものであってよい。また、本実施形態では、コネクタ 1はポリカーボネートか らなるものとして説明している力 ォレフィン系榭脂、アクリロニトリル ブタジエンース チレン共重合榭脂、ポリスチレン、スチレンコポリマー、アクリル榭脂、ポリ塩ィ匕ビュル 、ポリメチルメタタリレート、ポリアミド、ポリアセタール、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、フ ッ素榭脂、熱可塑性ポリウレタン等の他の座屈変形可能な合成樹脂からなるものであ つてもよい。

[1] 合成樹脂からなり、内周面に螺条が形成されたロック筒と、該ロック筒の後端部から 後方に延在する円筒状の接続部材と、該接続部材の内周側に設けられた弾性部材 保持部とを備え、該弾性部材保持部に保持された弾性部材を筒状部材に形成され たフランジ部の前面に押圧した状態で該筒状部材に回転自在に装着されるコネクタ において、
該接続部材は、該フランジ部の背面に力しめ止めされて該筒状部材に回転自在に 装着されて ヽることを特徴とするコネクタ。
[2] 前記筒状部材に接続されるルアーテーパー部を備え、前記ロック筒は、該ルアー テーパー部の軸方向に沿って延在していることを特徴とする請求項 1記載のコネクタ
[3] 前記弾性部材は Oリングであることを特徴とする請求項 1記載のコネクタ。
[4] 前記接続部材は、前記フランジ部に外嵌され、該接続部材の先端を応力破壊に至 らな ヽ範囲で前記筒状部材側に座屈変形せしめ、座屈変形した該接続部材の先端 により該フランジ部に力しめ止めされていることを特徴とする請求項 1記載のコネクタ
[5] 前記接続部材は、回転自在に軸支されたローラが回転しながら所定の加圧力で所 定の時間継続して先端に押圧されることにより座屈変形されていることを特徴とする 請求項 1記載のコネクタ。
[6] 前記合成樹脂は、ォレフィン系榭脂、アクリロニトリル ブタジエン スチレン共重合 榭脂、ポリスチレン、スチレンコポリマー、アクリル榭脂、ポリカーボネート、ポリ塩化ビ -ル、ポリメチルメタタリレート、ポリアミド、ポリアセタール、ポリエチレンテレフタレート 、フッ素榭脂、熱可塑性ポリウレタン力 なる群力 選択される 1種の榭脂であることを 特徴とする請求項 1記載のコネクタ。
[7] 前記筒状部材は、シリンジのバレル先端に形成された筒先部であることを特徴とす る請求項 1記載のコネクタ。
