Definitions
- the invention relates to a safety belt system for a motor vehicle according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- a safety belt system installed in most motor vehicles is usually designed as a so-called three-point seat belt system.
- the webbing extends from a belt supply, which is usually designed as a belt reel with retraction, via a deflection device, usually on the B-pillar of the motor vehicle, down to an anchor point on the vehicle body.
- a tongue assembly slidably held on the webbing, is locked in the worn state of the seat belt with a security fastener anchored to the vehicle body.
- the webbing is passed through a passage opening in the tongue assembly and directs the webbing in the applied state of the seat belt over deflection of a shoulder strap in a lap belt.
- DE 42 15 384 C2 shows a tongue assembly in which the webbing in the applied Condition of the seat belt, that is, whenever the webbing is deflected in the tongue assembly is clamped.
- DE 35 42 428 Al shows a generic safety belt system with a slidably held on a webbing tongue assembly and a fixing device, which prevents passage of the webbing through the tongue assembly at least temporarily.
- a slidably held on the tongue assembly deflection means is provided for the webbing, which clamps in the deflected state of the webbing this between itself and a clamping web.
- Such fixing devices have the disadvantage that the clamping effect can occur even at low forces, for example, when the occupant subtracts the belt at an unfavorable angle from the belt supply.
- the safety belt system comprises a slidably held on a webbing
- Tongue assembly and a fixing device which prevents the passage through or looping through the webbing whenever previously defined limits of vehicle data and / or occupant data are exceeded.
- the webbing In the applied state of the seat belt, that is in normal operation, the webbing is freely pulled through the tongue assembly.
- Tongue assembly has a passage opening through which the webbing of the seat belt is guided.
- the webbing is deflected by deflection means in the tongue assembly from a shoulder strap in a lap belt.
- the fixing device is not active in the normal operating state with a seat belt. It is activated as soon as previously defined limits of vehicle data or occupant parameters are exceeded. These may, for example, be belt forces or belt tightening speeds which, as is known, exceed certain values in the event of an accident. It is also conceivable to make the activation of the fixing device dependent on deceleration values of the vehicle or determined positions of the occupant. In contrast to the solutions shown in the prior art, the fixing device thus becomes effective only when there is a high load on the occupant.
- the safety belt system according to the invention is a crash-active fixing device.
- the fixing device is actuated when the webbing passes through the tongue assembly at a speed exceeding a previously defined limit.
- the activation of the fixing device is dependent on the Gurtanzugs Kunststoff the webbing.
- a preferred embodiment results when the fixing device is formed by the deflection means and by a fürlaufo réelle limiting component.
- the webbing may be clamped between the deflecting means and the component delimiting the passage opening, if the deflecting means is in the deflected state, with a corresponding configuration.
- a pivotable mounting of the deflection means has the advantage that the tongue assembly does not have to have much larger dimensions.
- the deflecting means is deflectable against a biasing member that causes pivoting back of the deflecting means at Gurtanzugs Republicen, which is smaller than the previously defined limit.
- the deflection means can pivot back automatically to its rest position at normal belt tightening speeds without engaging the through-opening limiting member.
- the deflection means may be provided with a clamping member, which is also pivoted in für noteworthydem belt with, but only at Gurtanzugs Republicen which are greater than the previously defined limit, comes into engagement with the passage opening limiting member.
- Gurtanzugs Industries the force exerted by the Gurtanzugs economically on the deflecting force against the acting force of the biasing member must bring the clamping member in operative position.
- the webbing may be clamped in the active position of the clamping member against the passage opening limiting member, so that with increasing belt forces the webbing is clamped more and more.
- the deflection means may comprise a carrier on a surface over which the webbing runs.
- the deflection is deflected via the driver against the biasing member.
- the biasing member causes a pivoting back of the deflection at a Gurtanzugs Republic, which is smaller than the previously defined value. If this value is exceeded, the force of the biasing member is no longer sufficient, so that the deflection means is further pivoted on the driver. Only then does the clamping member come into engagement with the component which delimits the passage opening.
- the drivers may be tooth-shaped.
- the single figure shows a longitudinal section through a schematically illustrated tongue assembly 1, which is slidably held on a webbing 2 and which deflects the webbing 2 of a shoulder strap 3 in a lap belt 4.
- the tongue assembly 1 comprises a locking tongue 5, which is inserted into a not shown, anchored to the vehicle body buckle and locked there. Furthermore, the tongue assembly 1 has a passage opening 6, through which the webbing 2 is threaded through, and a fixing device 7, which prevents passage of the webbing 2 through the tongue assembly 1 in the event of an accident.
- the fixing device 7 is formed by a pivotally mounted deflecting means 8 and by a through-opening 6 delimiting component 9.
- the passage opening 6 is thus bounded by a surface 10 of the component 9 and by a surface 11 of the deflection means 8.
- the webbing 2 strokes when pulling over the surface 11 of the deflection 8.
- the deflection 8 is pivotally mounted according to arrow A about a pivot axis 12 on the tongue assembly 1.
- the deflection means 8 On its side facing the lap belt 4, the deflection means 8 has a clamping member 13 in the form of an acute angle piece.
- the deflection means 8 At its shoulder belt 3 side facing the deflection means 8 is connected via a biasing member 14 with the tongue assembly 1. If the deflection 8 is deflected about its pivot axis 12 in the direction of the shoulder belt 3, the acting force F of the biasing member must be overcome. With a correspondingly large deflection, the deflection means 8 comes with its clamping member 13 into engagement with the surface 10 of the component 9 and thereby clamps the passage opening 6 continuous webbing 2.
- the surface 11 of the deflection means “8 may be equipped with tooth-shaped drivers to a rapid response reach the fixing device 7.
- the operation of the fixing device 7 in the normal operating state is as follows:
- the deflection means 8 is in its rest position, which is indicated in the figure by a solid line. If the webbing is withdrawn at normal speed through the passage opening 6 in the direction of arrow B, for example when applying the belt or by movement of the occupant while driving, the force applied by the biasing member 14 on the deflection means 8 F ensures that the deflection means 8 always back in his rest position is moved back.
- the shoulder belt 3 In the case of an accident, the shoulder belt 3 is acted upon by the sudden forward displacement of the occupant with great force, so that the webbing is pulled through the passage opening 6 at a relatively high speed. This causes a deflection of the deflection means 8 beyond the force F of the biasing member, so that the clamping member 13, the webbing 2 clamped against the surface 10 of the component 9.
- the belt force limitation in the shoulder belt 3 can act, while the fixed by the fixing device 7 in its length lap belt 4 effectively prevents a forward displacement of the pelvic area of the occupant in an accident.
