Abstract

 単層の、または2層以上の積層構造を有する電界発光層に、式(1): 〔式中、Ar1はアリール基、mは1~5の整数を示す。Φは、式(1a): (式中、Ar2はアリール基、pは1~5の整数を示す。) または、式(1b): (式中、Ar3はアリール基、qは1~5の整数を示す。) で表される基を示し、nは0~2の整数を示す。〕 で表されるピリジン誘導体を含有させてなり、発光効率、発光輝度および耐久性に優れ、特に、青色の発光効率、発光輝度を、他の色と同等まで向上し、しかも耐久性にも優れた有機EL素子である。
