  • Downward pressure on the conductive membrane 7 caused by, for example, pressure from an epidermal fingerprint ridge causes the film 8 to contact the second conductor 3 and contact pad 6 at a respective cell and thereby allows current to flow between the first and second conductors 2,3 (one of which defines an input bus and the other an output bus).
  • the contact pad 6 is a rectangular pad within the second conductor but separated therefrom by track or groove 9 of insulating material.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un détecteur d'empreintes digitales défini par un réseau de commutateurs, chaque commutateur (1) présentant une première et une deuxième partie de contact (3, 6) séparées par un espace, et un élément de pontage défini par une section de film conducteur en continu destinée à connecter la première et la deuxième partie au travers de l'espace (9). Une des parties de contact est définie par une pastille de contact (6) et la longueur de l'espace dans la direction essentiellement parallèle aux bords adjacents de la première et de la deuxième partie de contact est supérieure à la largeur de l'espace entre la première et la deuxième partie de contact.
