CONVERTIBLE GARMENT, ESPECIALLY FOR PRACTICE

SPORTS ACTIVITIES

The present invention relates to a garment having means adapted to modify the shape of said garment according to the uses of the latter.

The technical field is that of clothing and clothing, especially sportswear.

The clothes traditionally designed for the practice of leisure activities, relaxation or sports, in general have a relatively large amplitude in the sleeves to facilitate movement of the limbs and avoid friction on the skin.

However, such an amplitude (width) of the sleeves is penalizing for the practice of certain sports activities such as cycling, hiking, motorcycling or climbing for example.

Indeed, especially at the level of the legs, the lower part of the trouser sleeves often causes discomfort for the user in that the amplitude of tissue at this level relative to the leg offers a significant catch and therefore generates risks of injury. hanging with external elements (annexes) such as for example the (s) plateau (s) of a bike pedals, or branches or tall grass during the practice of hiking or even the ridges of rock on climbing routes or when approaching in certain mountain activities.

To overcome these risks of attachment due to the amplitude of the clothing relative to the body members, it is known to use for the practice of the aforementioned activities, clips or other bands to tighten the tissue areas floating around the limbs during the practice period of the activity in question or to use specific clothing, in particular of type sticky, spindle or combination, whose cut and materials are intended to conform to the shape of the limbs or of the body in its entirety, which has the disadvantage of requiring a complete replacement of clothing once the practice of the activity is over.

In addition, some of these activities require the use of limb protection (legs, forearms), which protectors must be added over or under clothing and held with elastic bands, which presents the disadvantage of being both unsightly and relatively long to put in place. In addition, this requires an additional financial investment.

The object of the present invention is to provide a garment which at least partially blurs the disadvantages of traditional clothing for the practice of sports or leisure activities in which the risk of clinging the garment with external elements presents a danger or at least a hindrance to the good practice of the activity.

The invention also aims to provide a traditional cutting garment which can be easily modified said cut, at least in parts, to allow a convenient and safe practice of said sports or leisure activities without the use of ancillary accessories auditing and without having to change clothing for the practice of those activities.

The present invention achieves these objects by a garment comprising, for each member, a sleeve adapted to cover substantially all of said member and each said handle comprises at least one yoke of elastic material covering only a determined part of a said member and comprising reversible closure means disposed substantially vertically along two opposite edges of said yoke, the latter being able to adopt an open rest position in which said sleeve has a diameter D ₀ at said determined part of the member, and a closed position of cladding of said determined part of the member in which said sleeve has a diameter D ₁ less than D ₀ , said closing means reversible device for moving from said open position to said closed position after stretching and clamping said yoke around said determined limb portion.

The term "sleeve" of the garment here means a piece of fabric or an assembly of pieces of fabric (s) of a garment intended to cover, at least partially, the limbs (arms, legs) of an individual wearing said garment, a said sleeve having a diameter D _n corresponding to the maximum width of the sleeve without stretching of its material once threaded on a said member.

Reversible means of closing means also means for making the opening of the elastic yoke from the closed position to the open position and vice versa. These means may in particular consist of male and female elements, such as zip, hooks or snaps, able to cooperate together to bind said opposite edges of the elastic yoke.

Similarly, it is understood that in open position said means opposite edges of the yoke are spaced apart from each other, said yoke covering only part of the circumference of the determined part of the member while in the closed position, said yoke is stretched around said limb portion so that it covers and sheaths integrally thereof, said opposite edges of said yoke upon which said reversible closure means are attached being brought together and preferably aligned against one another; other.

The garment according to the invention is particularly advantageous in that it makes it possible to vary the diameter of the sleeves around localized portions of the body members covered by said sleeves, said yoke of elastic material allowing, in said closed position, to tighten the sleeve around a given portion of a member and perfectly fit and fit this said portion by closing said yoke of elastic material around the said portion with the aid of said reversible closure means. The garment according to the invention thus makes it possible to limit the amplitude of the sleeves of the garment around certain parts of the limbs, especially at the level of the legs and / or the forearms, in order to allow the practice of sports or leisure activities, see professional activities, in which the risks of hanging the garment with external elements are dangerous or penalizing.

This eliminates the use of additional means of tightening the sleeves of the garment around the members for the practice of such activities.

In addition, once said activities are completed, it is sufficient to release said reversible closure means of said elastic yoke so that said sleeves find, at the pre-sheathed parts of the members, a diameter identical to the nominal diameter D ₀ of said sleeves in a said open position of said yoke of elastic material. This removes the need for a mandatory alternative after the practice of certain activities.

In addition, the garment according to the invention is very advantageous in that it is very quick and easy to put on compared to tights, spindles or other combinations usually used for the practice of said activities.

Indeed, it is only once the garment according to the invention threaded, that the elastic yoke is sheathed and closed by said reversible closure means around the parts of the members at which the size must be reduced to such so that there is no resistance to the garment additional clothing compared to a traditional garment.

According to a preferred feature of the invention, said yoke of elastic material constitutes or covers only a portion of the circumference of a said sleeve at said member portion, the complementary portion of said sleeve between said closure means reversible bellows making it easier to increase said diameter D of said sleeve from D ₁ to D _u between said closed and open positions of said yoke.

Such a bellows between said closure means and thus the joinable edges of the elastic yoke on each said sleeve of the garment, advantageously facilitates the sheathing or release of said elastic yoke around the limb while improving comfort and decreasing the cost manufacturing thereof with respect to a garment made entirely of elastic material.

Advantageously, said yoke of elastic material consists essentially of a material preferably chosen from stretch, lycra, neoprene or elastane. However, the invention is not limited to the use of these elastic materials.

Such materials have, depending on the uses, the appropriate characteristics of elasticity, resistance, thermicity and impermeability where appropriate. These are also materials traditionally used in the field of clothing, especially for the manufacture of sportswear and, therefore, the working techniques of these materials are known to those skilled in the art.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the garment according to the invention, said yoke of elastic material further comprises at least one protective means adapted to protect said limb portion covered by said yoke in its said closed position against impacts.

This eliminates the need for additional protective means to be placed on or under the garment for the practice of activities requiring such protections. In addition, for other activities such as hiking or even gardening, such means of protection protect the parts of the members most subject to shocks and injuries, that is to say the extreme parts of the members such as legs and forearms, which, until then, was not possible with clothes traditionally intended for the practice of these activities.

In order to confer effective protection without harming the user's comfort, said means of protection is preferably a rigid and / or absorbent means.

More preferably, said protective means is also removable from said yoke of elastic material, which allows to remove it, or not, said yoke (and therefore the sleeve) depending on the use made of the garment, and than during maintenance operations of the said garment.

In another preferred embodiment, said yoke of elastic material is removable from said sleeve of the garment by means of reversible connecting means fixed on at least one side of said yoke and able to cooperate with complementary reversible connection means attached to said sleeve of the garment.

In this configuration, said yoke is preferably secured to a removable portion of a said sleeve of the garment, said portion constituting a removable sleeve adapted to be fixed on said sleeve by means of said complementary reversible connecting means respectively arranged around a lower edge of said sleeve and an upper edge of said sleeve.

In this way, a convertible garment is obtained whose sleeves, or at least a portion thereof, are removable, which favors the use of said garment in different forms and for different activities without harming either the aesthetics or the feature of it.

The garment according to the invention will be better understood on reading the detailed description which will follow with reference to the appended figures among which: FIG. 1 represents a garment according to the invention, the sleeves of which each comprise an elastic yoke, respectively in the closed and open position;

FIG. 2 represents an embodiment of a garment according to the invention;

FIG. 3 represents an elastic yoke for producing a garment according to the invention.

The present invention applies to the realization of any type of clothing with sleeves, such as pants, Bermuda shorts, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts or others. Only an example relating to the manufacture of trousers will be described below, the realization of other types of clothing appearing subsequently easy to those skilled in the field of the invention without showing proof of inventive step.

Referring to Figures 1 to 3, pants 1 according to the invention is obtained from a classic cut pants made of cotton, velvet, canvas, suede or other and having two sleeves la, Ib on the lower parts of each of which is sewn a yoke 2 of an elastic material such as stretch or lycra. Said yoke preferably has a trapezoidal sensitive shape adapted to fit the shape of the leg when said yoke is wrapped around it.

On opposite non-parallel sides 2a, 2b of said yoke, are sewn reversible closure means 3a, 3b able to cooperate together, such as zip, hooks or snaps.

Said yoke 2 is preferably sewn on a lower part of a sleeve of the pants, so as to cover preferably a cut area I c in advance, from below the knee to the top of the malleoli of the ankle. In order to allow and facilitate the sheathing of said yoke of elastic material around the leg and the closing of said closure means once the yoke 2 sheathed, the latter is sewn on the sleeve of the pants so that said closure means 3a , 3b are in a vertical position on one side or, preferably, on the back of the calf of the leg when said yoke is in the closed position, so as to provide no discomfort by friction or support of said closure means on the leg of the 'user.

In addition, said elastic yoke 2 is sewn along cutting segments made in a sleeve of the pants, so that when said yoke is in the open position, that is to say is not sheathed on the leg of the trousers. the user, a piece of fabric or a piece of fabric material with the rest of the sleeve of the pants, forms a bellows I d able to be folded and slid under said elastic yoke 2 when it is sheathed on the leg and held in closed position by means of said reversible closure means. Similarly said bellows I d is adapted to facilitate the release of said elastic yoke 2 and return of the diameter D of the sleeve to the nominal diameter D ₁ , of the latter around the leg when said reversible closure means are detached and said yoke in open position.

Thus, the pants 1 according to the invention comprises inserts 2 of elastic material for forming "leggings" 4 to shrink the diameter of the sleeves 1a, Ib of the trousers at the legs, material to marry and sheathe ci and offer no fabric take to external elements when practicing activities such as cycling, hiking, climbing, or gardening and brushing, and also to expand the diameter D of said sleeves releasing said leggings 4 once said activity completed, to use the pants 1 as a traditional pants whose sleeves have a diameter substantially identical throughout the length of said sleeves. In a particular embodiment, said elastic leggings 4 may further comprise means for protecting members 5 covered by said leggings, which protection means are preferably removable. For this purpose, said elastic inserts constituting the leggings advantageously comprise, on their outer face, a pocket 6 of format adapted to receive a protection means 5 such as, for example, a shin guard or a plastic shell such as PVC, HDPE or a high density foam board.

In a variant not shown, said pocket 6 can also be replaced by a plurality of small pockets or housings for receiving plastic whales, each whale being, in fact, easily removable and replaceable over time and according to the uses clothing.

In another embodiment not shown in the figures, said inserts of elastic material 2 can be removable sleeves l, Ib of the pants to provide a convertible pants bermuda or panta-court for example.

To do this, the lower parts of the sleeves of pants according to the invention are advantageously cut below the knee level and above the upper end of said yoke of elastic material, said lower part of the sleeves thus cut forming a removable sleeve having a portion of fabric identical to that of the rest of the trouser sleeves and an elastic portion equipped on two of its opposite edges, reversible closure means, means for connecting said sleeve on said sleeves of the pants being sewn or fixed on the circumference of said sleeves and said sleeve at their ends cut so as to allow to reattach and detach said sleeves comprising said elastic inserts of said pants to transform it into Bermuda shorts or panta-court at will of the user.

Claims

1. Garment (1) of the type comprising, for each member, a sleeve (la, Ib) adapted to cover substantially all of said member, characterized in that each said sleeve comprises at least one yoke (2) of material resilient covering only a determined part of a said member and comprising reversible closure means (3a, 3b), said yoke being able to adopt an open rest position in which said sleeve (la, Ib) has a diameter D ₀ at the level of said determined part of the member, and a closed cladding position of said determined limb portion in which said sleeve has a diameter D ₁ less than D ₀ , said reversible closure means (3a, 3b) for passing from said open position to said closed position after stretching and clamping said yoke (2) around said determined limb portion.

Garment according to claim 1, characterized in that said reversible closing means (3a, 3b) are arranged substantially vertically along two opposite edges (2a, 2b) of said yoke, said opposite edges being brought closer to one another. other, and preferably aligned, in said closed position of said yoke.

Garment according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said yoke (2) of elastic material does not covers only a portion of the circumference of a said sleeve (la, Ib) at said portion of member, the complementary part of said sleeve between said reversible closing means (3a, 3b) forming a bellows (I d) facilitating the increase, of said diameter D of said sleeve (la, I b) of D ₁ to D ₀ between said closed and open positions of said yoke.

4. Garment according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said yoke of elastic material further comprises at least one protective means (5) adapted to protect said member part covered by said yoke in its said closed position against shocks.

Garment according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that said yoke (2) of elastic material is removable from said sleeve of the garment by means of reversible connecting means attached to at least one side of said yoke and able to cooperate with complementary reversible connecting means attached to said sleeve of the garment.

Garment according to one of claims 3 to 7, characterized in that said yoke (2) is secured to a removable portion of said sleeve (la, Ib) of the garment (1), said portion constituting a sleeve removable member adapted to be fixed on said sleeve by means of said complementary reversible connection means disposed respectively around a lower edge of said sleeve and an upper edge of said sleeve.

9. Garment according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that said yoke (2) of elastic material consists essentially of a material selected from stretch, lycra or neoprene.
