L'invention concerne une machine automatique (1) qui permet de fabriquer des éléments plats profilés, destinés en particulier à des emballages, des isolations thermiques et acoustiques et analogues, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend des moyens de profilage (10) permettant le profilage en continu d'un premier ruban se déplaçant dans le sens longitudinal (5), des moyens d'agencement (51, 52) permettant l'agencement d'un second ruban (55) latéralement adjacent au ruban profilé sortant des moyens de profilage permettant le profilage en continu d'un premier ruban, et des moyens de couplage (60) permettant de coupler, au moins en des zones séparées, le premier et le second ruban (5, 55).
